Kymber’s Get to Know You #48

Happy Thursday, all!

As we’re coming off holiday mode and further into the week, I hope you all are doing well!

Today I’m participating in Kymber’s Get to Know You, the 48th edition! Thanks Kymber!

Without further ado…

1. Notorious or unnoticed?

There are some days where I’d love to walk outside my house with a cloak of invisibility. To be unseen. Mainly mostly at work or places with huge crowds. 😆

*stealth mode activated*

Does anyone else mentally visualize a bubble of impenetrable protection around themselves as they venture into the great unknown? You have to, especially if you pick up a lot of “muck” from others’ energies.

2. Read thoughts or speak to animals?

While there could be an advantage to reading the thoughts of others, it’s far too scary for me. Read vibes, not minds. Let me speak to all the animals, please!

And the nature, and the trees, moon, stars, etc.

Of course, I already do speak to my animals and animals in general. Whether or not they listen, (especially the cats!) is another story! 😆

3. Planning the future or living spontaneously?

I do a little of both, but also…Spontaneity is the spice of life and all that.

I find sometimes when I plan things too rigidly, it goes into a whole different direction anyways, and you can’t plan for everything. I’m definitely the type to pick up and move, do something different, and go based off of feelings rather than calculated planning.

Throw the planner into the fire, but don’t burn the entire place down in the process! 🔥

Also, when you invest too much energy into something, it can become too clingy/needy vibes rather than letting it go and letting it flow. Oftentimes, life has other plans for us!

That said, just don’t blow all your rent money on a new gaming system or vacation overseas. That kind of spontaneity never works out.

Welp, that’s a wrap for this one!

Until next time!

I hope you all enjoyed getting to know me a little more, and I thank Kymber once again for her always awesome posts, questions, and answers!

All words and images, unless otherwise stated

Hope you are enjoying your first week into the new year! Happy Thursday!

  1. 1. Unnoticed. Definitely, the less attention brought to me the better.
    2. Read People’s Thoughts. It’d be intriguing to see how others think.
    3. Spontaneity. If you don’t have a plan, you can end up doing some interesting things.

      • Thank you so much! 😊 and hey, that’s very true lol! 😂 I didn’t think of that, but could be a good case for the reason behind those answers. I understand why you may want to read thoughts too as it could be intriguing, but I bet so many people have so many thoughts we’d not like to hear 🤣
And thank you for the welcome back 🙏 truly appreciated and means a lot 😊

    • That’s so true 😆 if only it were that easy! 🤣 thank you Nancy, much appreciated 🙏 just a touch of spontaneity, then, and no over the top actions that’ll land us in trouble lol 🤞

  2. Yes, I’ve imagined a bubble around me and hate it when someone else enters it. lol

I agree about speaking to animals!

    That’s really interesting about spontaneity.

Those are wise words, Laura. ❤️

Thank you for playing and Happy Thursday!

  3. Why I am linked on the mind reading part is beyond me 🙄

Far too often, people jump and forget the parachute. AND burn down everything around them 😲😄

Seems no one thus far wants to be notorious. 😄

    • Ummm, I can unlink you if you’d like?! 😆

Notorious – I think sometimes people are notorious for the wrong reasons. Of course, if I do something I’m proud of, id like to be known for it but as an everyday thing – rather not be seen lol!

Burning it all down to the ground and then jumping without a parachute…I mean, chaos abounds!

      • I’m still trying to figure out the “mind reader” thing. 🤷‍♂️😋
I’m 50/50 on that. Sometimes I want to be recognized for good stuff, but sometimes I just wish I didn’t do anything worth recognizing. lol
Chaos has a bad way of kicking one in the teeth. At least it kicks me in the teeth 😲😄

  4. “read vibes, not minds”… dude… I’ve always been interested in reading peoples minds, but now you have me second-guessing my decision. Seems scarier now 😅…

  5. Must admit I seldom remember the bubble, but I am familiar with it. 😀 The invisibility cloak is a little more at-hand. 😀

I like what you say about plans. Sometimes I feel I can only really plan when it feels like there’s ‘request’ to do so, if that makes sense. ❤

    • I get what you’re saying! Sometimes I wish I was more of a planner type but then I feel like when I do or try to be it just gets thrown by the wayside 😆 I did think you had some nice planner strategies though if I remember!

Also, the bubble helps if we remember to do it 🤣 otherwise, if I don’t put my shield up I’m just absorbing all that negativity lol 😆
      I do wish I had a real-life invisibility cloak. 😊 and thank you! ❤️

      • I’ve had so many experiences of planning and things going a different way, even last year was full of that, yet I can’t bring myself to call it disappointment. I just find planning itself so soothing. 🙂

I’m dealing with someone lately whose energy is so strong that it’s hard not to get sucked into it and then feel drained. It’s not exactly vampire-ish, but just a lot. I really need to remember the bubble!!

      • Ooohh noo! 😬 yes, remember that bubble, I find it happens far too often for me as well. Don’t wanna feel drained 🙏 I have to distance myself from that – any hint of it and I’m out

  6. Your answers are interesting for sure. I can’t claim that I know you ‘tis true, but none of your choices caught me by surprise and I might have even guessed them. Your supporting reasons may have had a surprise or two for me, so I’m not exactly in clairvoyant range on you.

In truth, your answers jive with what I would have answered for these same questions.

I’m thinking it is possible some Ladies Home Journal psychologist might arrive at some interesting diagnosis of our mental makeup from the answers provided.
Yet, I don’t think anyone will be fetching Nurse Ratched on either of us just yet. 🤪

    • Haha, excellent! So we’re not being thrown into the loony bin?! (Yet, at least?!) 😆 very happy to hear that. Glad they were interesting and similar to yours! I hope the mental diagnosis is a favorable one 😅

  8. Yes, I frequently envision myself sitting in the lotus position with a bubble of white or blue light around me for protection. It really helps in stressful situations or cleansing myself from other people’s “muck.”

    • Glad I’m not the only one 😆 it does seem to help, to have that extra bit of protection – especially when going into work! 🥴 White or blue light is beautifully healing 🙏 thanks for sharing 😊
