Several nights ago, I had a pretty horrible dream. One that I could only imagine is an omen, possibly a warning. Iβll compare it to being on a sinking ship in the middle of the frigid, dark ocean, with only the moon to illuminate the deep black water.
I woke up quite frightened. Actually, it was one of those dreams I woke up several times from, and every time I returned to sleep, the dream continued.
When it was finally over, I told Kevin about the dream in detail, and this was an image I had sent him recently on a dark night with many clouds in the sky. The words he came up with – inspired by my dream, captures the feelings perfectly.
Dark and uneasy. Into a deep abyss.
Unfortunately, itβs not only dreams that provide inspiration – nightmares do, too.
The plus side? (besides this awesome collab?!)
I emerged safely, and free.
I had survived the great unknown.
Hope you enjoyed this darker collab, with a little bit of a backstory to the inspiration.

You know I had to come over and check it out! It’s wild how vivid dreams can be and how much they can affect us emotionally… This was beautifully explained… with a beautiful image and poem as well β€ . I felt the fear with you! That's artistry right there! Great collaboration guys β€

Thank you! It was dreadfully scary and I do appreciate you coming and checking it out π means a lot, Kay β€οΈ Iβm glad you enjoyed the collab, too. π I think this dream may be playing off some of the anxieties I had recently about work – appreciate your kinds words and anytime you wanna share dreams, Iβm here! π π β€οΈ

But of course! π
Yeah, I notice sometimes the timing of the dreams can play a role in how they play out, too. Sometimes you can’t pinpoint it and other times, it’s like… ok, got it! Hope the anxiety has calmed down for you, at least πππΊ
I need a dream guru! LOL! I try to piece part them together through Google, but sometimes I’m just left more confused. Haha! But hey… I’m here to listen… or read… whatevs. β€

Oh yeah, this is true. And sometimes if we have things on our mind we just need to purge that. That can always be a factor as well. π« The brain, π§ trying to heal itself lmao π€£
I used to write dream posts on here a lot, but I ended up getting sick and with work etc I couldnβt keep up with it the way I liked! It definitely is a haven for inspiration and sometimes messages, whether they be warnings or just what our internal is processing. Iβd like to get back into some sort of dream interpretation types of posts but itβs been a minute. I only recently started having crazy and vivid ones like this again.
Anxiety is getting better π thank you β¨ π like anything, it ebbs and flows.
Here to listen and read as well! π β€οΈ

I am very fascinated by dreams! The more vivid, the better (well, for clarity and understanding anyway). Not the ones you forget 2 seconds after you wake up… like the ones that stick with you for a bit after you wake up. Ya know? It’s like okie dokie, what do we need to figure out in this moment? LOL!
Only recently, huh? Interesting… probably the timing of the work anxiety. I have pretty vivid dreams almost regularly. I even remember being told that I was a liar for how much detail I could remember about my dreams, so… I’d stopped talking about them for the longest. This seems like a good place to share though; certainly entertaining anyway.
I’m glad the anxiety is getting better! πΊπ Ahhh… the ebbs and flows. LOL! Always!
And thank you ππ

Dreams have always been fascinating to me too. Iβve had some prophetic (unfortunately, as they usually foretell bad events) and then of course just the dreams that is playing out everyday stuff. Lucid dreams, too.
Yea, the ones that stick – the ones that set the vibe for the day, I hear that! It can be unsettling. I had one recently that bothered me for a bit. It can really mess with you sometimes when itβs like a riddle or a puzzle.
Oh, so I dream pretty regularly too. Itβs been more recent that Iβve been having nightmares, and I attribute that to anxiety. I hear you on people being like wtf! π but Iβm not surprised at all that you are a vivid dreamer! It definitely helps to lend us some creativity too. π
Yes, I think WP has a good share of dream people on it too and who are into writing them down. Funnily enough, I was just talking about the dream posts today to Kevin and then you posted about your dream as well.
So yes, anytime! Feel free to share π π (no pressure tho!) π

Hahaha! That is so funny, too, because I typed a lot of it, deleted it, typed a lot of it, and was like no one cares, typed some more… and was like eff it… we’re doing it. JUST POST IT! Almost added “Just Post It” to my title and debated discussing my struggles π
I usually don’t remember those types of dreams until they happen, and then I’m sitting in some weird deja vu moment, that’s not quite like deja vu, but… different somehow. I hear ya!
Yeah, I don’t like the ones that set the bad juju vibes for the day, though. Those ones aren’t fun… and make for one hell of a day.
π Should I be concerned you’re unsurprised by my vivid dreaming? Or… is this a Libra superpower? LOL! I don’t know much about dreams. Something I’m interested in, but haven’t focused enough on.
Hahaha! No pressure! ππ Love it!

A therapist told me water dreams mean youβre searching for somethingπ§

Interesting! π€ I always heard that water was for feelings / emotions and could be overwhelm.
Water is always pretty welcoming to me in dreams. I have a lot of water elements (Cancer moon, Pisces rising, born with a caul) strong swimmer, etc so I always feel pretty safe and protected around water. The thing is, I did survive. It was more the sinking ship I was on was breaking off piece by piece, but I made it out and I was fine.
I think the sinking ship is literally my job, or career, breaking off one piece at a time and I have to get out from under it to survive π
Thanks Ted, will have to look more into that. There could be βsearching or seekingβ elements as well.

Nightmares, though unsettling, can spark powerful creativity.
Your collaboration with Kevin turns fear into art, beautifully capturing the unease and triumph of facing the unknown. Emerging safely is the ultimate winβproof of your resilience and transformation!

Itβs the same type of work Iβve been doing – recovery / mental health. The problem is the place takes a lot of liabilities and can be over the top stress on some nights. Weβll see what the future holds! Probably not my forever, but here for now π
