Moody Moon and Sky

Hey, everybody.

Sky yesterday before work

Well, you know how I yammered on about wanting to see this year’s largest Supermoon.

I wrote a poem about it in the beginning of the month.

I planned a nature hike in advance so I could get some shots of it.

However, it didn’t happen. 😢 At least, not on the night of the actual full moon.

Nope.

A blanket of clouds, in fact

Clouds. Rain. Wind.

All of which I love, just not ideal for moon viewing.

One I managed to catch the night before…the wind still blowing like crazy

Here’s a huge fail:

Whomp whomp wahhh

So…although I got zero, zip, nada on the night of the Hunter’s Moon, I did manage to get a few the day before or so.

As well as some moody Sky today.

And at work as I’m writing this, I did actually manage to capture a few shots.

But only for a bit
Escaping me again

Better than nothing, I guess!

However, I will say – I saw some amazing shots on here! I’d definitely like to thank you all for your beautiful moon photos.

Of course, there’s always next month. It won’t be the October moon, but still. Maybe by that time, I’ll have that camera I’ve been going on about for months.

I actually do rather like this one, taken the day before

We’ll see.

Moon or attempts at moon photos. Always my obsession. It’s in the name, after all. 🌖

  12. These photos are so beautiful! Thank you for sharing them. I love the way the moonlight shines through the sky. Even though you didn’t get to capture the moon itself, you still captured the traces of its presence, almost like a tracker!

  14. I’m sorry you didn’t get to see the moon day of, but you got some fantastic shots regardless. The way the moon is illuminating the outline of the clouds is spectacular. 😊😊

      • I’ve had the wackiest time lately! I’d like to think it means life is readjusting itself to move forward in a less chaotic way for a while, shaking off some of the extraneous things. Who knows. 😀

      • Ohh I’m so sorry. Yes, feel like I’m going through a bit of odd transitions too. It’s always good to shake off the things and purge. I have to clean! So much crap I want to get rid of. Release that energy 😊
