Moody Moon and Sky

Hey, everybody.

Sky yesterday before work

Well, you know how I yammered on about wanting to see this yearโ€™s largest Supermoon.

I wrote a poem about it in the beginning of the month.

I planned a nature hike in advance so I could get some shots of it.

However, it didnโ€™t happen. ๐Ÿ˜ข At least, not on the night of the actual full moon.

Nope.

A blanket of clouds, in fact

Clouds. Rain. Wind.

All of which I love, just not ideal for moon viewing.

One I managed to catch the night beforeโ€ฆthe wind still blowing like crazy

Hereโ€™s a huge fail:

Whomp whomp wahhh

Soโ€ฆalthough I got zero, zip, nada on the night of the Hunterโ€™s Moon, I did manage to get a few the day before or so.

As well as some moody Sky today.

Morning Sky

And at work as Iโ€™m writing this, I did actually manage to capture a few shots.

Finally coming out of the clouds โ˜๏ธ
But only for a bit
Escaping me again

Better than nothing, I guess!

However, I will say – I saw some amazing shots on here! Iโ€™d definitely like to thank you all for your beautiful moon photos.

If thereโ€™s anyone I forgot, please, let me know! Your photos have definitely kept that moon sighting itch at bay (howl at the moon?) ๐Ÿ˜†

โ˜๏ธ ๐ŸŒ–

Of course, thereโ€™s always next month. It wonโ€™t be the October moon, but still. Maybe by that time, Iโ€™ll have that camera Iโ€™ve been going on about for months.

I actually do rather like this one, taken the day before

Weโ€™ll see.

Moon or attempts at moon photos. Always my obsession. Itโ€™s in the name, after all. ๐ŸŒ–

  1. OMG! What amazing shots! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘ A few of them almost looked like you were up there hanging out with her! Glad to have helped keep you and moon united while she was hiding behind the clouds. โค

  2. These photos are so beautiful! Thank you for sharing them. I love the way the moonlight shines through the sky. Even though you didn’t get to capture the moon itself, you still captured the traces of its presence, almost like a tracker!

  3. I’m sorry you didn’t get to see the moon day of, but you got some fantastic shots regardless. The way the moon is illuminating the outline of the clouds is spectacular. ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š

    • Thatโ€™s awesome though, enjoy the clear weather! ๐Ÿ˜Š itโ€™s nice when Mother Nature cooperates haha. But itโ€™s ok, I got a few shots and thereโ€™s always next month ๐Ÿ™

      • Humor is that needed ingredient, yes! It is fun to find others who have it, including the dark/sarcastic side. ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿป Thank you very much for appreciating my photos. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป๐Ÿ’•

      • I’ve had the wackiest time lately! I’d like to think it means life is readjusting itself to move forward in a less chaotic way for a while, shaking off some of the extraneous things. Who knows. ๐Ÿ˜€

      • Ohh Iโ€™m so sorry. Yes, feel like Iโ€™m going through a bit of odd transitions too. Itโ€™s always good to shake off the things and purge. I have to clean! So much crap I want to get rid of. Release that energy ๐Ÿ˜Š
