A hiatus most needed.
Sometimes we need to fall off the face of the Earth, Sky, and all the realms lol π

Itβs been storming here the last few days (and not metaphorically, I am pretty calm, actually), with quite a bit of flooding, so there is that, as well.
I did mention I possibly was taking a break (a bit of a delayed response on my part -something that sometimes gets me in trouble) and for sureβ¦it was long overdue.
It was meant to only be a bit of time, and ended up longer than.
Sometimes we need that, to put things into perspective and realize what is most important of all.

And not to allow ourselves to be distracted by things that are insignificant, and to listen to what those who really matter to us are actually telling us.
To allow ourselves to know deep what is in our head, heart, and spirit.
And especially for our sanity.

I spent some time writing and simultaneously not thinking of writing at all.
Still not 100% if the creative batteries are recharged yet or not, but Iβm gonna just write when I feel like it and weβll see what comes about.
Iβm also going to take the pressure off of myself to write – as I think we all should do.
Releasing those expectations.

Hope youβve all been well, and it might take me some time to get caught up with posts, likes, comments, and follows – so please just bear with me. You are very much appreciated, as always.
Love to you all. Hope youβre ready for a great weekend, especially since yours truly will be working.
Oh, let the chaos begin.

Welcome back π

The return of Qesor! Glad you got some time to yourself. And strangely enough, I too also started my WordPress three years ago – well, it would have been the summer of 2020. Oh wow. Was it four years ago? Itβs happening again. Time. Time is happening. π¬

Haha!! Thank you π much appreciated. That seems like 4 years to me, definitely. But I know I havenβt been actively writing all these yearsβ¦Thatβs for sure! When are you making your next post? lol π

We need a post about your writing journey. Maybe you already did one. Tell us more!
I have ideas for my next post! I was thinking about doing something for the fourth of July if I can get it together in time. We do a music camp here that I help run starting next week, though, so Iβm in go mode until thatβs wrapped up.

Haha, maybe one day! I donβt think Iβve actually made a post about it, no. π thanks for your interest, that is much appreciated.
Aww, that sounds like an amazing 4th of July post, definitely a fun read and it sounds like a great cause. π

I hope you enjoyed your break and feel refreshed.
Certainly don’t pressure yourself to write as you will take the enjoyment out of it. Go with the flow.

Thanks so much, Liz! I really appreciate that π and yes, thatβs something I need to work on, not holding myself too tightly to writing and certain strict expectations. It should be for my enjoyment, absolutely. The flow is where itβs at! π

Happy birthday to your blog! π
So your blog is a Gemini, as it appears?
The photos are so energetic, intense, and overall amazing that I wish I were there, connecting with the storm π
I’m so glad that you returned β€
PS: Don't put pressure on yourself! I also decided that one post a day + weekends off, is absolutely enough for me π

Haha, youβre right, my blog is a Gemini π thatβs a pretty interesting way to look at it. No wonder Iβm always discussing so many different things on here, it seems. Haha
And thank you, the storms have definitely been intense and prolific, I donβt think it stopped raining for days. A break for my AC, which was nice.
And thank you β€οΈ itβs good for us to take breaks, much needed. Iβve decided once I start feeling that overwhelm again Iβm gonna cut out for a bit. Sometimes, we just have to.

Happy 3-year Anniversary! It’s been quite a stormy few day for you, both literally and metaphorically. I’m glad to hear you’re staying calm amidst the flooding.
Writing when inspiration strikes and releasing expectations sounds like a healthy approach. Wishing you a wonderful weekend, even if it’s filled with work.
Embrace the chaos and Be a Blessing!

Sounds like you’ve been through quite the storm, both literally and metaphorically! Taking that hiatus sounds refreshing though β sometimes disconnecting is the best way to reconnect with what truly matters. Here’s to finding that balance and diving back into things when you’re good and ready! Happy 3-year anniversary on WordPress, Laura!

Thanks Claire! I always appreciate your so thoughtful comments – yes the disconnection is much needed at times, to feel more in touch with the real world around us and whatβs really going on in our lives. Youβre right – balance is very important. And thank you! π π

Welcome back, Laura, and happy anniversary. Itβs really important to take breaks because we donβt want to get overwhelmed by doing too much. I try not to engage with WP on the weekends and keep my posting to 2-3 times a week. The rest of the week, Iβm reading and responding to blog posts, but nothing structured. That gives me a good mental break and time to do other things.

Thanks for this, Edward! Sometimes we feel we need to be doing or posting something and keeping engaged 24/7 and itβs not always the case, sounds like youβve got a great balance there and itβs definitely something Iβm looking more to incorporating, as we need to enjoy our lives outside of the platform and posting on the blog, for sure. π appreciate your kind words and support! Mental breaks definitely are needed.

Youβre welcome. The way I see it, I want WP to be a place where I can have fun, learn something new, and meet new people. If it turns into another chore, then itβs not going to be fun.

Yay! Congratulations, Laura β€ … I want to jump through the images and feel the rain ~ Beautiful captures as always! I completely relate … one-minute ravenous writing episodes than sulking morphs into more content than waves of zilch, then before I know it a frenzy comes barreling down the pike and I gotta go surfin’ (lol)! Missed you and it was only a few days (hahaha)! Love ya Sister!

Haha. The rain has been absolutely lovely except for the flooding, but itβs definitely been so much cooler β€οΈ yes, weβve been there with the zilch and then thinking every idea sucks, writing then deleting, writing then deleting haha. Missed you too π₯° and so appreciative of your concern my lovely sister! β€οΈ π π€

Congratulations on your anniversary – the universe really does operate in strange ways (I always remember the Zen idea of sitting still to catch a butterfly (rather than running around with a net, if you take a break, they will land on you)) – even more so, because, by coincidence I just posted about my anniversary (5 months!) and included a shout-out to your blog to say thanks for reading. Thank you so very much for this, and itβs funny because Iβve actually tried so hard to catch butterflies in images all the time, but itβs hard because literally everytime you move, they do too. Haha. Breaks are so needed, and happy blogging anniversary to you! π π

Thank you – and yes, I’ve been a butterfly-botherer forever too… I’m still waiting for one to land on my shoulder… but sometimes I feel like I’m still in my chrysalis stage and they don’t recognize me… yet. xx
