A Journey

Taken on my recent wandering and musing trip πŸ‚

So many veins and deep scars
Of a life long-lived
We die and are re-born anew
We see the fight and the struggle
The tears and the pain
Frayed edges
With bruises
Holes in our hearts
And yet, we’re beautifully whole
Even among the fragments
Withered away
Our soul remains
In a final resting place
To be given back to the Earth

In the end…
We are a spirit born free
No more pain
No more sadness
No more tears
Just peace.

Back from vacation, and I have so many photos I’d love to share with you! Taking some time getting caught up with everyone, and it seems I’ve picked up a bit of a travel flu which hopefully doesn’t last long.🀞

Regardless, it was a wonderful time. πŸ˜€

Hope you all are well, and enjoyed my little share here as I was entranced by the cycles and journey this leaf has seen – kind of like us. πŸ‚

    • Thank you, Liz πŸ€— it’s one of those things that’s on / off, chills, body aches, feel bad but then rest and feel ok. Hopefully it shakes soon. I called out of work last night to rest, but have to go in for just one night tonight so we’ll see.

And thank you ❀️ glad you enjoyed them 😊

  2. Lovely poem, Laura! I’m glad you guys are home safe, I caught some kind of bug while in Florida recently, or perhaps it came from the aircraft but I had to get antibiotics to knock it out of my lungs.

    • Thank you so much, John! 😊 Oh, and that is appreciated! πŸ™ I hope you are feeling better now, I always feel like I catch something or another when I go away, especially if I fly! This trip was driving for quite a long stretch of time, so I don’t discount picking up something along a rest stop. Been kinda a chills/body aches, etc back and forth kinda deal. If it persists, I’ll look into getting something. Hope you are well ✨

  6. I think the patterns in nature reflect our lives. It’s the cyclical nature of the universe. We are the universe… our souls are eternal…. birth and death are there to keep the soul evolving.
Great poem. You’re so talented. Much love

      • You’re so welcome and I understand, quite well. πŸ’• The OTC that can keep us gong and get us through the rough stuff has downsides. I hope work isn’t too taxing and rest restores you. πŸ’πŸ€—
