You Are The Phoenix

This is a submission for Kevin’s No Theme Thursday.

Never forget, you’ve been through it all

Times you’ve been hurt, they watched you fall

But you showed them, you got back up again

Rose from ashes, you broke through the pain

Shackles unbound, you found your worthy path

You’re fearless and fierce, down to the very last

They couldn’t keep you chained, you were born a fighter

A future once dim, now seems so much brighter

You triumphed over evil when you didn’t play their game

They’d never compare to you, not one in the same

People will always try, but over and over they will fail

Scratching their heads, in comparison to you – they pale

Your strength, your soul, your loving heart is true

With all the hardships and trials, you’ve made it through

Always remember the mighty power you wield

Even when battle-weary, never lay down your shield

Among the weak-willed, the final joke is on them

They could never imitate or replace you in the end

A reminder to all those who have risen above and overcame, and a warning to those who try to keep others down.

Happy Anniversary to Kevin and No Theme Thursday. ❤️

May you always remember your power.

Thank you so much for these uplifting words.

Sometimes our strength lies within, but sometimes we need to draw from outside ourselves when our reserves are low.

    Thank you always 💪❤️

  3. My, oh, my! Laura, you almost sounded like a prophetess in this poem’s elaboration. It completely captures the needs and answers to the thoughts running through my surroundings at this minute. It definitely evokes a vibe and atmosphere of reassuring joy and courage. I love this—one of my many favorites among your works. Thanks for sharing. Peace!
