Everyone knows I’m over the moon for the moon, her light, guidance, brilliance, even her chaos and the lunacy she brings.

That outline, tho 🌙

The dreams she gives, the creative energy she allows others to feel within their artistic muse.

What’s the darkness without the moon, after all?

But, I don’t want to visit or live on the moon. Admire her beauty? Yes. From afar.

I honestly think I took this in a parking lot somewhere

I think we all have those love / hate relationships, and the moon and her wild feminine energy are no exception.

You can bathe in her wonderfully healing, recharging, energizing, enigmatic light…

One of those rare 3AM shots

…or she can cause you a literal emotional breakdown, well…not perhaps cause, but push you or circumstances around you over the edge.

Selene and her wiles have a way with all of us, at times.

Even the tides are affected by the moon – her influence can have sway over something as powerful, large, and vast as the ocean.

Don’t believe? Police and emergency workers all have got some stories, even if it’s just to say, “be careful, it’s a full/new moon.”

Of course the vibrations of the atmosphere affects us. Cause and effect, even.

      • I feel like I was preaching to the choir with my previous comment 😂 it’s a mysterious thing for sure, it doesn’t rotate on an axis so you always see the same side of it when looking at it. It’s responsible for the tides in the seas and it doesn’t seem to really have anything going on there but doing the things that I said. It’s just something to marvel at and not try to solve it with some kind of logic or something to make it subjective. Just appreciate it

        Oh, I don’t think logic applies to lots of things. Some things just are, especially as it relates to nature, and we just have to accept her beauty, her rage, and her chaos.

      • That’s it. The beauty you see in the moon doesn’t define the moon itself but it defines what it is doing which is existing. Existing is beauty in our lives too, it’s applicable to everything on earth.

        You’ve got me thinking now about how the moon would dictate the tides across earth as it moves (the seas) in different directions and they are sometimes on the opposite side of earth to the moon position. But it’s phenomenal that it’s been attributed in doing so

      • I think it would be very cool to look at the earth from a distance, and watch the black star-less sky. Totally black and no stars. Well, unless it was night where I was on the moon, then there would be lots of stars considering the lack of an atmosphere and no light pollution. What a perfect dark spot that would be. Well there would be light pollution if the earth was visible, so no earth. Well, I wanted to see the earth. This is getting complicated. Anyway, I would walk around, or jump around, and feel the lesser gravity. 1/6 of the gravity on earth. Hopefully I wouldn’t fall and crack my helmet.

    • Haha 🤣 wellll now that you mention it. The closest I got maybe was with that terrible car they had in Mass Effect and that was probably enough for me 😆 it’s nice to look at, at least!

    • I don’t think it takes good night photos. Have you seen some shots of the moon these Samsung phones get?! Almost professional looking. Really detailed. I think my twilight moon photos are probably the “best” lol 😆 but thank you! 😊

  19. I love the image of Luna, driving her two horse chariot across the night sky. Her soft glow setting the mood for romance and intrigue. Her vast power lifting the waters from their salty beds. I think of her as the mother figure. But I am an earthly creature, grounded and terrestrial. Just like my relationship with own Mother, I am content with Luna at a distance. It comforts me to observe her, feel her power, bask in her glow, but I am an earthbound creature and plan to remain so. Bury my soul in the organic earth. Let Luna stop by to shine light upon my bones on dark lonely nights.

I was admiring this morning’s sliver. I would love to go to the moon, maybe as a flight attendant, serving moonchildren. 🥂

  27. Ah, such stunning pictures! I agree, the outline in that first one is amazing.

    Like Ernie pointed out, a real trip to the moon wouldn’t be cozy. A virtual trip via documentary, or maybe through a video game? Much cozier, and I can even explore it with a glass of wine beside me.
