What Else Would it Be…

What food would you say is your specialty?

If it weren’t…

Bring the heat 🔥

Tacos! 🌮 🌶️

The spicier, the better!

Ready for a taco buffet!

Mmmm, yummy.

Who also doesn’t love a good pizza? It’s hard to choose just one food, variety is the spice of life!

On a real note, I’ve been told I make a mean lasagna.

Happy Hump Day y’all! Too bad it’s not Taco Tuesday, but a Hump Day is even better! 🐪

Sadly enough I have to put this: all writings and images are my own – not to be reused for republication by others as their own content!

    • Seems like a lot of people are feeling the lasagna! Honestly it’s such a good comfort food and I’ve made it a bunch so it doesn’t take me forever anymore! Nom nom 😋 now I want to make one too 😁 LOL!

      • 🤣😂🤣 I just laughed so freaking loud! Hahaha! I mean… you know, sometimes you’ve gotta jump back on that treadmill for 30min or so. Is it worth it?

      • It’s hard, I cut out soda and all that…I try to cut out chocolate and sweets but the rage period is about to come up in a few days here 🤣 😆 but my stomach is starting to look flatter so I’m like man why you gotta do me like this?! 😂

      • 🤣 I stopped buying soda, but now I drink more coffee. Ugh. I told my nutritionist that I should just go back to soda. She says “nooooo”. LOL! You know… I still eat the junk here and there… I’m far from perfect; which is probably why I’m not losing any weight. Don’t take advice from me 🤣🤣🤣🤣

      • Girl you’ve lost 20 lbs! The last time I did that, I had colitis 😂 🤣 but for real, I think things in moderation are ok. I drink a ton of coffee, try to cut out the sugar. The only problem is with the caffeine overload, I think it stresses out adrenals (let’s forget about working at night!) but yeah…once I’m off soda it’s usually too sweet for me to pick back up…for a while… 😆 I love that carbonation! ✨

      • It took me over a year! LOL! Trust me… the frustration of being on that treadmill for 65min and NOT getting anywhere is… adding to my… “mood”. LOL!

My issue with the coffee is that I don’t actually like it… I like it with creamer, or from Starbucks. LOL! You want to talk about a sugar overload! LOL! Ugh…

And yes, the caffeine is bad… but… it makes the human zoom! LOL!

      • We need that zoom, it’s non negotiable. 😆 Have you thought about maybe just taking a caffeine pill? Especially if you don’t enjoy the taste…but I also get the ritual of drinking coffee, it’s a whole thing. ☕️ And it’s still progress! 😆 have you thought of adding weight lifting 🏋️ (unsure if you’re able, if not, sorry) but that seems to help, with the muscle eating away at the fat.

        But then we’ve got the T an A problem. I’ve always had a fat A even when I was skinny, but I don’t wanna lose anymore T! 🤣 😂 😠 haha

      • Zoomies are certainly important! No debate coming from me! I said I enjoy the creamer. LOL! I like the coffee with the stuff in it, just not all by itself. LOL!

Here’s the deal: I don’t want to turn all this fat into muscle, just for it to revert back later. I’m trying to get down to a certain weight before I start the “toning” process. I actually got rid of all of my weights, because… well, they seem dangerous. I may pick up some lightweight ones, so this way I won’t hurt myself.

Gurl… Yes! I’m so mad that all I seemed to have lost so far is T&A. Ugh… I have a bench that I sit on while I write… now I have to buy a cushion for it. Genetics were unkind to me.

      • Haha I gotcha, the creamer does add a little something special ✨

I think weights do help burn the fat though, your muscles probably won’t get so big, it seems like a lot of women’s fears with losing weight and not wanting to get “buff” which I can understand. Light weights are good too. I think it helps as opposed to only cardio. I do a lot of squats for my butt, it’s an all over workout too. Really good if your knees are in decent shape. Also, don’t need weights for it! 😁

Aww I’m sorry hear 😞 maybe you can build it back up?
Genetics are always fun 🙄 I’ve got some crap ones too, blah 😒

      • I never thought I’d say this, but… I miss the days when I could run! I hated running, but man… it was easier to lose weight than just walking alone. The squats are hard for me, as the MS has affected the feeling and muscles in my limbs. I don’t know if I don’t have the balance for it, or if my legs have just become too weak.

My nutritionist tried to get me to walk on the treadmill while I crochet. Like… woman… do you even crochet? 😅 For starters, yarn makes you warm… the treadmill makes you sweat… yarn & sweat… don’t really work out together. It would be stuck to my fingers…. and be gross. Who wants that!?

Yeah… genetics are a pain. I’m not sure there’s a way to build it back up. I’m trying some exercises suggested online for it, but… I’ve only just started. This was apparently something I should have done BEFORE I lost any weight. But… here we are.

      • I think you definitely can build it. There’s some videos out there for sure, all those YouTube build a booty videos. They have the glute bridge which isn’t too bad, laying down.

Ahh, I’m sorry 😢 I hate running too, but I see how it could be easier. Coupled with the diagnosis, it doesn’t make it easy. I’m sure you’re doing exercises for balance and stuff, definitely don’t push 🙏

She’s insane, kinda. 😅 I think I prefer to focus on the workout, I see people reading and stuff and I could just never do it. Crochet is a whole other ballpark! 😆 what the heck? And yeah I agree, it would be sweat inducing and then adding it into the mix haha noooo.

Like everything, it takes time. I want my gut gone LIKE YESTERDAY, and then they gotta play with me by trying to take away some T. 😆 for the health, right? Ughhh 😫

      • Oh! I forgot about the glute bridge! I need to look that one up again. I’d found a list, and went through what I could possibly do, and the fire hydrant, what was the other one… where you lift your leg? Oh my brain… anyway… And I feel it in my thighs, but not my bum. I feel like someone’s lying to me. LOL!

Right now, I’m mostly just stretching and walking. I’m throwing in some of those “booty” workouts a few days a week. It says not to do it more than 2 or 3, because you could overwork the muscles?

Ahahahaha! I can do other things while I’m on the treadmill. Wouldn’t touch a book, because… sweat. But I have done my grocery shopping and whatnots on my phone, I daydream a whole lot, listen to tunes, but… crocheting? Yeah… no.

I want all mine gone like yesterday, too! Hahaha! OMG! Just go tummy… go! <– maybe I could write a book? Hahaha! And yes… I was excited about losing weight, until I realized how bony my bum is now. Not fair! Not fair at all!

Also, I feel like I should add: I appreciate these back and forths! I'm glad you don't get offended when I share "similar stories", and you just do it back. It's great! and appreciated 🙂

      • The leg one does work, can confirm, I did it at the gym last night. 😆 Unsure of glute bridge. But when I’ve done them, I try to tense (not sure if right terminology?) the muscle as much as I can cause then I really feel it. 2-3 times a week sounds good to me, never wanna overdo it. 😊 stretching and walking is very good, yoga helps with balance too if you can work up to it, with breathing and all. I know someone had suggested Pilates to me but haven’t tried it.
But yeah, go slow, incorporate what you can 👍
Oh yeah, I listen to music while working out and I can see maybe even doing some quick tasks but I wouldn’t be able to concentrate on a task like crochet or even reading anything heavy or intense. My mind is all over the place I guess 😆 🤣

Oh and not a problem at all! I’m not easy to offend, lol I’m happy when you share your stories and we can ping pong conversations back and forth, it’s always nice and that’s what helps us, talking about life 😊

      • Oh! Maybe I should focus on tensing! Haha! When I do it, most of my focus is on not falling over! Hahaha! I know I’m supposed to be balanced with hands planted and one leg on the ground, but… guuurl, when I tell you balance is not strong with this one. LOL!

I did pilates before I joined the military. Yes! It is quite the workout! I’m not sure how much of it I could do now, but maybe I could look into Yoga. Seems a little less intense.

AHAHAHAHA! One thing I did learn, before having the kiddos: do not watch action films while on the treadmill! I almost went down 🤣 I walked right along with a car flipping over… it was something!

      • Omg, what a nightmare. That’s a crazy story about the action film and the treadmill 😆 hope you ended up ok lol!
Interesting I didn’t know Pilates was less intense than yoga. Yoga might be good for flexibility, stretching, balance. Some poses can get kinda crazy but you can modify them.

Definitely the most important thing is to do what you feel comfortable with 🙏 and sorry I took forever lol to get back to you, I paused everything to go to a spin class. It kicked my butt, needless to say 😂

    • Haha!! 🤣 I have a funny story about this actually that might be a “tad” inappropriate. 🤭 I was at my favorite taco place the other day for my birthday and the server was like, “I don’t ask people if they want soft or hard anymore…” so of course we were like “ok, why?” 😁 and he says “wellll I had a grandma tell me all inappropriate 😏 “I like it hard!” So that’s why” of course it was funnier in person, but hey, 👋 spicy grandma 🌶️ 🌮

Sorry for the novel 😆 and I like hard tacos if I’m being honest lol

  1. Baking is my jam. I make a mean cinnamon coffee cake. Today, I’m trying a new pumpkin cheesecake recipe. Mexican food, specifically Chile Colorado, is one of my stronger recipes, thanks to my fave YouTuber, Cooking con Claudia. lol
