Celestial Ride

I was dreaming, floating upon waves of clouds in the sky

Storms of cosmos raged, as I continued traveling up high 

Suddenly, I happened upon a breath of fresh air 

A burst of wind chilled my bones, blowing wildly my hair 

I opened my eyes, in nebulas of unknown realms I did see 

A vision, a memory, or perhaps a dream of prophecy?

Past lives played out, right before my very eyes

If I hadn’t felt the familiarity, I’d assume it was all lies 

We danced intertwined, upon stars we twirled 

Looking deep in each other’s soul, there was no one else in the world 

Then, flashes of bright light rained down upon my vision 

A dark feeling stirred, with sharp pangs of intuition

This world was no longer, gone in an instant 

To dust we turned, memories and thoughts non-existent 

What happened? I wasn’t sure, floating deep in the void 

The end had come quick, like an exploding asteroid 

Somehow in the darkness, I felt peace in this expanse 

Never really knowing, if I would’ve taken my last chance 

Then I awoken, it was all just a hazy dream 

Filled with anxiety and dread, I realized it was the full moon’s schemes

She loves her tricks, always playing with your mind 

Elusive and beguiling, to her whims we are blind

Delusions and hallucinations, often reigning supreme 

Chaos in the streets, among haunting and screams

Take me back forever, to that ethereal dream land 

This world is full of pain and suffering, a limbo to be damned.

  17. See, how synchronicities are. We are in different geographical locations, we saw the images and associated them with lucid dreams and soulmates, without even planning it lol. And although we chose the same images, each one expressed their particularities, this proves more and more that we are unique beings and we all contribute to the cosmos. Gratitude! 😊✍️🙌🏻✨🌠🌕

  31. Nice! Beautiful, actually. Loved how you worked in the explosion as well, I was thinking about a sci-fi story but the top two caught my eye as well. Your poetry is so light, ethereal, I need to read it several times to grok it. Well done ❤️👏
