As I sit with coffee, daydreaming, I gaze out the window

I realize, while I write, a confession I want you to know

Your kindness, your patience, the care you’ve shown me

Touch my heart and my soul – so complete, tenderly

Words you’ve sent me, always cause me to swoon 

Especially when you call me β€œQueen of the Moon”

Although a few may be jealous of the bond we share

They could never know the lives we’ve led of despair 

In dreams, my fingers trace your tattoos, skin upon skin 

Ready to ignite the flames of our carnal, most wild sins

Knowing you deeper, our lips lock together – a heated kiss

Stirring feelings inside my core of a sweet, passionate bliss

Setting my body and my heart ablaze with your fire

Your touch never fails to take me higher and higher

You say I healed you, but you healed me too

Come what may, we’ll see our trials and triumphs through 

We merge together, our darkness and our light 

β€œWhat’s the dark after all, without the moon, so bright?”

So thank you, for being you, and sharing your secrets with me 

You renewed my faith in love, and set my heart free 

Shaken out of my reverie, back to the present moment

I see you staring at me, waiting to make a silly comment

Then I decide to ask you, as you sit across from me

β€œWould you like to get another cup of coffee?”

  14. I do love coffee dear Laura. Once I was the coffee house poet in California and Texas. A chess board and coffee. Always could create conversation and new friends. I like your artwork and poetry. Thank you for sharing.
