Nature’s Blessings

Yesterday I had a lovely Sunday stroll in a nature preserve nearby my home.

Does anyone remember when I wrote about the symbolism of pine cones?

I hadn’t ever been there before, but I wanted to check it out since they have a Full Moon Hike this coming Friday which I’m hoping to get a chance to go to.

Tree bark gazing

It rained some, so it was a nice overcast sky as well, and cooler out than usual.

Found this leaf that looks like a jagged little heart ❤️

It may seem a bit strange too – but I think overcast and rainy sometimes makes for the best hiking weather! I know some people who may agree.

These trees and that sky give me the eerie vibe I love

Without further ado, please sit back, relax, and breathe in the nature.

Just a bit of flower power 🌼
When you see it…🦎
Nostalgic in ways somewhat unexplained
We don’t have a “leaves changing” time period here, but there’s still some elements of Fall, I feel 🍂
Raindrops, raindrops 🪻
The leaves tell their stories 🍃
Sacred geometry everywhere you look
This tree has had an interesting life, with all its twists and turns
Beauty in simplicity 🌱

There, how’s that for not so much yammering on a Monday? 😆

Hope you enjoyed your walk with me, and that you have a pleasant start to your week!

    • Phone! I wish I had a camera, that’s next on my list of “things to buy that are expensive” lol 😆

I know right? The heart-shaped leaf definitely caught my eye. And thank you 😊 🙏

      • Wow! Thank you 🙏 that’s incredibly kind of you to say. 😊 I’ve been taking photos for years, (with a camera years ago, and recently not) but I definitely think I need one eventually, haha. 😆 still, so appreciative of you saying!

  2. The wet bark is just about the most gorgeous thing I’ve ever seen, captured so lovingly. Great eye! Thanks for this nature stroll, which I enjoyed very slowly as to soak it all in. Cute little friend as well.:D ❤

  3. Wow – Very beautiful photos by a talented photographer.
I loved the yellow flower ..it’s shining bright, like sun and it looks like the rare 4-leaf clover showing faith, hope, love and luck.

    • Haha! Thank you so much, Sharon 😊 much appreciated 🙏 there was a time I did want to be a professional photographer, always been a “thing” for me I guess you could say. But I do so appreciate that kindness. Maybe I can finally get away from nursing 😂

  4. I used to love to go out to Loxahatchee (the one west of Lake Worth) on a cloudy afternoon and walk slowly and quietly on the boardwalk through the swamp. Amazing how many animals I saw! 😎

  5. Such vibrant colors and brilliant details – felt like I was walking in the nature preserve alongside you. Lovely! Cool lizard and a gorgeous green. 🦎 Walking during an overcast day is cool and refreshing. 👍🏻 Thank you for the beautiful share, Laura. 💕

    • Thank you so much Michele 😊 so glad you liked the pictures 🙏 and that lizard was definitely an interesting catch, especially how he blended in so perfectly 🦎 it was indeed great weather for a nice stroll ✨ 💕

      • A perfect blend, yes! Lots of lizards in my region but no bright green – not that I have seen. I’ve seen Gila Monsters. They are intense predators, to be avoided. 😨 Very cool though. I feel like I can walk all day and then some when the temps are cool. Love that! 🥰 Thank you for the gorgeous inspiration. Hope your day is going well. ☕👩🏻‍💻🥱

      • Ahhh they sound so scary lol 😆 definitely avoid, I think I’ve heard of those before but I’ll have to look them up. And yes, luckily my day went pretty good thank you 🙏 not too boring 😂 and that’s so appreciated 😊 I hope your day went well too 💕

      • They can be yes and here is a tip… if they have your arm in a clamp jump into a pool. Their need to breathe will free you. 😌 A busy day that is wrapping up. Not too boring is a bonus. 🙌🏻 Sleep is calling… enjoy your Wednesday. 💕

  6. I did not read about the symbolism of pine cones before. It was before I had come across your blog. But I read it now. It was very interesting reading, and beautifully written, but some of it was unfamiliar to me, such as many reincarnations. My cousin knows about reincarnations. She does past life regressions on people. But I admit I don’t understand that. Your photos are beautiful. I wish you a wonderful full moon walk on Friday.

    • Ohh, thank you Thomas! I’m very glad you got a chance to take the time to read it 😊 it means a lot to me 🙏 reincarnation is often an interesting but a bit confusing topic. Past life regression can be a very useful tool for spiritual development! That’s so interesting your cousin does them! 😊 glad you liked the photos and I so appreciate that!

  7. Oh, I feel so refreshed! Thanks for sharing! I love rain in the woods, but just after, when there are puddles and the fresh mildewy scents. So invigorating! 🌳🦌 You have such a discerning eye for photographic opportunities. I am experiencing shutter envy! 📸🥰

      • A moonlight October nature walk would be so ‘radical’! Maybe I will schedule one similar, simultaneous, of my own… thereby experiencing a moonlit ‘walk’ together in a remote kismet fashion! 🌕

  8. These are some nice captures! That first pine cone looks like a pineAPPLE! Or a grenade. I threw one once, a real one, in the Army. HEAVY! Now I just throw paper balls or crinkle toys for the bubbas. 🐈‍⬛🐈
