Traveling the night
Ancient comet flying
Glowing so bright
Among cosmic clouds
Light does shine
An ethereal view
Of a radiant sky

I always like to give reminders to look up at the sky, especially moon and stars. If you get a chance to see this once-in-80,000 years comet up in your sky, remember to take pictures! 💫 It’s still visible up to October 26th, and will be visible in areas with light pollution. Look to the west during twilight hours. ✨

My wife Kim took a beautiful photo of that comet from our backyard tonight. It’s amazing what the new phone cameras can capture. It’s better than the human eye. Your nature walk photos from this morning were amazing too.
Is there any chance we’re all going to want to live in that world soon (you know, the pretty one that’s inside the phones?) I think I might feel a story coming on.😁

I have this freakin iPhone and I swear it doesn’t take as good of pictures as I’d like, especially at night. And wouldn’t it be nice if we could live inside that world? iPhone 15. Great photos of the aurora borealis as well. I’m a little bit afraid that if we go to that world it will be all beauty and no substance . . .

I have an iPhone 15 too!! How the heck does she take night photos? I always struggle so much with the moon photos, I don’t expect them to be camera level but man! That’s awesome tho

And not sure. The article I read said to keep an eye out for it during twilight hours while looking to the west. The chances of me seeing it probably are small, but I’d love to if I was able. We’ll see, I guess! 🤷♀️

Visible until October 26? Then I still have a chance to see it! Is it only visible at twilight and not later when it’s fully dark? Maybe that was my other issue with seeing it.

What I keep reading is when it’s twilight out is best time to see it, and then it seems like all the images I’m seeing of people catching it are twilight hours ….but you gotta wonder how that can be for everyone, since it’s different time zones…but this is what I’ve been reading on multiple sites 🤔 hmm lol

Now that you mention it, the two pictures I’ve seen from friends were taken during twilight too. (One was a really lovely shot of it taken above the Grand River.)

Good question! Apparently it was first discovered in both China and South Africa, so it’s definitely a possibility I’d say! Keep your eyes open if you go out during twilight hours, and good luck! 😊 ✨ 💫
