This is a submission for Kevinβs No Theme Thursday.

Higher and higher
Traveling the night
Ancient comet flying
Glowing so bright
Among cosmic clouds
Light does shine
An ethereal view
Of a radiant sky
So make your wish
Upon a celestial star
Looking up further
Dreaming from afar
Β©οΈ Laura Bennett
I always like to give reminders to look up at the sky, especially moon and stars. If you get a chance to see this once-in-80,000 years comet up in your sky, remember to take pictures! π« Itβs still visible up to October 26th, and will be visible in areas with light pollution. Look to the west during twilight hours. β¨

Very lovely indeed. I am not sure that I’ll see the comet, but I’ll make a wish just the same. π

My wife Kim took a beautiful photo of that comet from our backyard tonight. Itβs amazing what the new phone cameras can capture. Itβs better than the human eye. Your nature walk photos from this morning were amazing too.
Is there any chance weβre all going to want to live in that world soon (you know, the pretty one thatβs inside the phones?) I think I might feel a story coming on.π

Excellent!! I canβt wait to read it! π I would love to see her photo!! Ahhh sooo lucky. What kind of phone does she have?? I have this freakin iPhone and I swear it doesnβt take as good of pictures as Iβd like, especially at night. And wouldnβt it be nice if we could live inside that world? So glad you enjoyed the nature photos! π

iPhone 15. Great photos of the aurora borealis as well. Iβm a little bit afraid that if we go to that world it will be all beauty and no substance . . .

I have an iPhone 15 too!! How the heck does she take night photos? I always struggle so much with the moon photos, I donβt expect them to be camera level but man! Thatβs awesome tho

She doesnβt do as much night shooting as you do, of course! I think your moon photos are awesome!

Haha, indeed I am.
And not sure. The article I read said to keep an eye out for it during twilight hours while looking to the west. The chances of me seeing it probably are small, but Iβd love to if I was able. Weβll see, I guess! π€·ββοΈ

Visible until October 26? Then I still have a chance to see it! Is it only visible at twilight and not later when it’s fully dark? Maybe that was my other issue with seeing it.
LikeLiked by 1 person
What I keep reading is when itβs twilight out is best time to see it, and then it seems like all the images Iβm seeing of people catching it are twilight hours β¦.but you gotta wonder how that can be for everyone, since itβs different time zonesβ¦but this is what Iβve been reading on multiple sites π€ hmm lol

Now that you mention it, the two pictures I’ve seen from friends were taken during twilight too. (One was a really lovely shot of it taken above the Grand River.)

Hoping I can see it from South Africa, What do you think my chances are?
LikeLiked by 1 person
Good question! Apparently it was first discovered in both China and South Africa, so itβs definitely a possibility Iβd say! Keep your eyes open if you go out during twilight hours, and good luck! π β¨ π«

Your words hurled me to space then I saw this-
Cosmic vastness, starry night
Endless wonders, celestial light
Planets spinning, galaxies wide
Mysteries hidden, secrets inside
Astronauts venture, brave and true
In the void, beauty shines through
Infinite space, forever new.
