Because Murder is Wrong.

Daily writing prompt
What principles define how you live?

Define?

Principles?

There are a ton of books out there on the โ€œrules of life,โ€ but who decides all that, anyways?

Not sure why this question seems so off-putting (most of them are, anyways). Obviously itโ€™s some variation of โ€œWhat morals do you live by?โ€

The thing isโ€ฆif someone were to have nefarious โ€œprinciples of livingโ€ would they even admit to it?

Why? Would you? Does that make sense?

And Iโ€™m sure there will be a lot of one and the same type of answers:

โ€œHonesty.โ€

โ€œBeing kind.โ€

โ€œBy helping others.โ€

Is organizing a diamond heist a nefarious principle of living? Just askingโ€ฆ๐Ÿ’Ž

You might even get some who say:

โ€œBy doing what I want, when I want,โ€ which could seem like more of a selfish take, but isnโ€™t necessarily bad, at all.

Guess it depends how deep or surface-level youโ€™d like to go.

This kinda falls in the realm of โ€œtell you what you want to hear.โ€

And letโ€™s just say, half of people will say they live that way, because thatโ€™s what they aspire toโ€ฆbut do they actually live that way?

They may say, โ€œbe kind,โ€ but are they, really?

So with all that yammering, Iโ€™ll just say:

Coffee.

Yes, this post and the title was inspired by this little sign in my kitchen. ๐Ÿ˜†

Yep, the principles that define my life always start with coffee. If I donโ€™t have it, Iโ€™ll be unmotivated, unproductive, unprofessional, uncaffeinated, tired, and crabby.

Iโ€™ll be called a bitch, and my response will be, โ€œIโ€™ll show you whoโ€™s a bitch, bitch.โ€ #RBF4Life

Caffeine-infused? Iโ€™m in a good mood. Ask me whatever you want. Sure, Iโ€™ll help you! Yes, peace on Earth? All for it.

Letโ€™s forget about the rage I felt 3 hours ago when my alarm went off for work and I wanted to throw it against the wall. ๐Ÿ˜‡

On a more serious note:

What do I say, and in what context, even?

Energetically? Intuitively? Spiritually? Physically? Mentally? Because some doctrine or code of honor told me to? By sheer luck? Are we talking about expectations of myself or of others?

Work-wise? How I conduct my private life? Again, how much do you really reveal about your true self, the one not wearing the mask you show to the outside?

People may often say, โ€œbe kind,โ€ but are they practicing what they preach, really?

I suppose, at the end of the dayโ€ฆ

I hope to bring healing and peace to others, along with laughter and love.

As well as to myself.

Is that a sufficient enough answer for how to lead your life?

However, paths are always unpredictable, arenโ€™t they?

Happy Sunday! Why is the weekend so freaking short? ๐Ÿ˜ซ

  1. Starting the day with a bit of fire, eh? ๐Ÿ˜„
Nothing wrong with that at all. ๐Ÿ”ฅ
I think, and this is just one simple gorilla’s take, that the folks who live by mantras such as “be kind”, “respect” and mean it, invariably, it comes through. The ones who say it and mean it are pretty easy to spot. Usually because they just do it and don’t make a production out of advertising it. They’re too busy doing.
The ones who don’t might not always reveal their hand immediately, but in time, they surely do.

And, there is a case to be made for being “selfish” at times too. As long as it’s not your be all/end all, and it’s not trampling everyone around you. I agree that it is a valid mindset.

Anyhow, grab yourself a coffee. You’re behind again. ๐Ÿ˜‹๐Ÿ˜„

I think because weโ€™ve answered a variation of this so many times and I felt the question was worded so weirdly.
I think it comes through, yes, about whoโ€™s legit and whoโ€™s the real deal or not. I think this isnโ€™t so much about reading people, as calling out the people who go on about the life they supposedly lead so virtuously but in a nutshell, really donโ€™t.
Iโ€™ve always said Iโ€™d rather deal with someone who was upfront rude (within reason) than someone who is fake nice.
Yep, itโ€™s time to get caffeinated lol ๐Ÿ˜†

      • Oh, I don’t know that it was too much at all. I can dig that energy 100% lol

I get what you mean. sadly, the call out is lost on the ones its meant for most of the time. Ignorance is bliss and all that.

I used to work with an engineer who said “I don’t care if you call me an asshole, just tell me why I am”. He was a pretty straight shooter and it is often easier to deal with.

Three, but I am stopping now because it’s almost bedtime for this bozo ๐Ÿคก

Thatโ€™s true, most will never see it. Oh well, waste of a post?? lol ๐Ÿ˜†

Ignorance is bliss can sometimes indeed apply here!

I think I agree with the engineer. I think itโ€™s easier going in knowing what to expect and not finding a false identity with a knife later in your back

  2. This last photo, so much going on!! I’ve been in that scenario, sans nursing uniform, so many times!

Finishing my first cuppa now and considerably happier than when I started, so I’ll co-sign since I can’t begin to answer this prompt today. I mean, I could, but feel like I’ve answered it a billion times.

  4. Why are we alive what is our purpose? God? Why would god then ever create life we are purely societys dogs no matter what we spend money on we are solely assisting the governmentd blue pill scheme. No matter how we try to escape it doesnt matter since we always will pay tax no matter what we do and if we do not we end up in jail. We need to take responsibility for our lives. Not to blame others or make excuses. We just need to go out and pursue our dreams and do what we truly believe in โ€” refusing to let the rules of society cage us in.

    • Thank you for your thoughtful comment ๐Ÿ™ always appreciated, and I agree with you. I think we do need to do what we believe in and we all serve a purpose, sometimes unknown. With all those looming societal norms and pressures itโ€™s very important to keep in perspective what really drives it home for us to keep on keepin on. ๐Ÿ˜Š

      • Advertising has us chasing cars and clothes, working jobs we hate so we can buy shit we donโ€™t need. Weโ€™re the middle children of history, man: No purpose or place. We have no Great War. No Great Depression. Our Great Warโ€™s a spiritual war; our Great Depression is our lives. Weโ€™ve all been raised on television to believe that one day weโ€™d all be millionaires, and movie gods, and rock stars. But we wonโ€™t. And weโ€™re slowly learning that fact. And weโ€™re very, very pissed off

  6. ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜‚ OMG! I busted up at the title… AND IT ONLY GOT BETTER! Dude, I had the hardest time answering this blog… I’m sure I have principles, but they aren’t at the forefront of my mind. • Haha!! ๐Ÿ˜† so glad you found the humor in it. ๐Ÿ™ ๐Ÿคฃ I had a hard time with it too, because youโ€™re absolutely right. You just live life, donโ€™t be a jerk, keep it moving. I always find when others are โ€œIโ€™m so honest, you can trust meโ€ and โ€œIโ€™m so kindโ€ itโ€™s not always the total truth so I guess, that played into it a bit lolol. Thanks for laughing with me ๐Ÿ˜‚ โ˜•๏ธ ๐Ÿ’• โœจ ๐ŸŒ™
