Who are your favorite artists?
I wonβt say I abhor questions like this, but I kinda do. π
Of course, Mother Nature will always be one of my favorite artists. Canβt beat the awe-inspiring beauty of nature and all her whims.
Sky? Moon? Stars? Trees? Mountains? Ocean? Yes, please.

Besides that?
Youβll never get a straight answer out of me. It changes, from days, months, and years – seasons even.
βToo broad, too specificβ if you ever want to immortalize me with something besides coffee and the word βdangβ (also cats, butβ¦who doesnβt like cats? Donβt answer that, I donβt need something else to get all wound up about) π just make sure to include this in my response to the daily prompts.

It depends.
Am I happy? Sad? Apathetic? Feeling like I have a bit of rage? Just wanting something dark, or perhaps wanting to look at/hear/read something that makes me think deeply? What about humor? Thatβs always appreciated.
No, I wonβt STFU and just answer the question. π

I do particularly like Stephanieβs answer and the βwhatever it is Iβm reading at the time is my favorite,β because itβs true. I have such little time to spare on extracurriculars and recreation, that it better be a favorite!
However, I will say I do have a specific fondness for certain artistic creations, which are still so appreciated β€οΈ
I hope your week is off to a great start! A bit of a Manic Monday here, with just a touch of technical difficulties and upon waking up this morning forgetting what day it is π
Perhaps delusion is finally starting to set in! βοΈ

I don’t know that that kind of delusion is the goal lol
And Mother Nature is indeed a fine artiste at that. π
I’m very glad you enjoyed the images, along with the others I sent. It makes me very happy indeed. π€
I would elaborate further, but I am still not at 100%, and I have to try and kick this thing. Until later. π

Exactly, Girlfriend. Nature’s my music. Everything else depends on the mood. My family used to play a game called Scruples. There were questions on cards and we had to respond with Always, Never, or It Depends. Everyone would get mad at my sister and me because all our answers were the same. It Depends.
Have the very best week, dear Laura.

I can’t really answer that either. What is art? Which genre, paintings, sculpture, body painting, music, literature, and should we include software and design patterns, and my favorites also change every day. I agree that βwhatever it is Iβm reading at the time is my favorite,β is a good answer.

Honestly! Itβs so hard to be specific, and itβs so generalized because thereβs so many different categories of art! And youβre right, art is also subjective. Iβm glad Iβm not alone, haha. π I get some people have their favorites no matter what, and sometimes I just feel like Iβm indecisive π€·ββοΈ but perhaps not lol

When you look up at the stars in the sky at night you say βthey are beautifulβ. But beautiful doesnβt define a star. You donβt compare one star to the next. The star is simply existing and the beauty itβs created is the result of it being what it is. Art is the result and the captivation of existence in which the beauty is being displayed. Art is created by the existence of life and the beauty of the moment that the life is portraying

What a beautiful comment π thank you! π I do agree that being in the moment of that art being created is the beauty of what it holds for us. Itβs an emotional process besides just a creative one. It means something to us. Appreciate your lovely thoughts on this π

Great answer to a quite uninspired question Laura, we are just one minute piece of mother natures great puzzle, one that we do not even have full disclosure to. How can any one person surpass that. Wonderful images with great colour and depthπ. Is that a fly on that flower…brilliant! Hope you are keeping all well…Jayπβ

Ahbor? The peak of my blogging vocabulary has never reached the lofty heights of βabhorβ. I confess I am a tad envious of your word craft Laura. I really need to branch out my own word choices. I just made a small list of similar words that I will be working hard to incorporate in my future posts/comments; blurt, gripe, snarl, skulk, twerp, quaff, flout, glint, and scamp. Then too, ahbor, and Iβll throw in βincorporateβ too, and so get credit for that one right off the bat. Iβll let you know how I do. π¨βπ€

I feel ya with disliking these sorts of questions. My usual first question in reply is “Can I give you a non-ordered top ten?”
A few years back, a challenge was going around Facebook to “post 7 books [you] love, one per day for seven days. No reviews, no explanations – just covers.” Instead of posting each day for a week, I, uh… made a single post. Well… I’ll let what I wrote back then speak for itself (because apparently I had to scroll several years back to find it again, my brain decided π€·π»ββοΈ, so why not take advantage, lol).
So, while intending to do the challenge as intended, I decided to grab 7 books to line up my pictures for 7 days. Except… When grabbing out my favourite books, I went a little past 7 books… I managed to stop myself from grabbing more books after 16 books.
I could have grabbed so many more… I’m looking at this picture and mentally thinking of several more books that “should have been included”.
Whelp, I like books.
My 16 books here are: The Green Rider, Pride and Prejudice, Wuthering Heights, The Raven Boys, Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, The Hobbit (meant to represent both the Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings), The Slow Regard of Silent Things, The Bad Beginning (meant to represent all of A Series of Unfortunate Events), Rise of a Legend (Guardians of Ga’hoole), The Never-ending Story, Eragon, Inkheart, The Chronicles of Narnia, Anne of Green Gables, Cinder, and Between the Lines.
Notably missing: the Septimus Heap series, the Redwall books, and many others

Haha!! π yeah, thanks for relating to that fact Nicole π I donβt think Iβd be able to choose just 7 books either. Thanks for sharing! Definitely look like a few I havenβt read and should check out sometime!
