Fall’s Promise

This is a submission for Kevin’s No Theme Thursday.

Image by Kevin from The Beginning at Last

Golden leaves slowly falling

Whispering winds gently calling

Crisp air kisses against the skin

Breathing deeper now within

Colors of red-hued trees sway

Darker now become the days

Walking fall paths of cool retreat

Crunching leaves felt under feet

Scent of Autumn’s warm embrace

A beautiful sign to leave no trace

Nature’s canvas a sight to behold

Harvest moon’s secrets now unfold

For the months of waning light

Mysteries painted in glowing night

  1. Absolutely Wonderful 🍂🍁🍃 A bit to soon for this 😁😂. But honestly, I can’t wait. I’ve already dove into the Pumpkin Spice Latte Phase. 🤣🎃☕️. Now time for Apple Cider Donuts and Pumpkin Patches.

      • As much as I love Summer, I can deal with Fall Season all year long. That would be Incredible.

Pumpkin Spice and Apple Cider all year long, I’m there. 😁👍🍁🍂🌻

  2. I loved the fall when I lived in the deep south but living up in the northern state of Michigan it is a reminder of the cold and blistering wind that awaits. This old dawg don’t agree with winter anymore, anyway a lovely poem with plenty of emotion, Sweet post Laura. 🙏☕☕

    • Some Fall weather is too cold, I’ve heard that! I love a mild Fall, I suppose then. This is what that poem is supposed to encapsulate lol 😆 and thank you, Ernie 😊 always much appreciated 🙏 ☕️ ☕️
