If you were going to open up a shop, what would you sell?

Certainly not advice, because no one would take it.

I spy with my little eye… 👁️

It’s only after they did the stupid thing I told them not to do, that they come back and are like, “Oh yeah, you were right.” 🙄

I’m not a “seller,” never have been, and never will be.

You want it, you like it? Great. You don’t? IDGAF, usually.

I just don’t have the patience for it. 😆

Anyways, the answer is probably coffee.

Good coffee, minus the snobs

Maybe.

Because you have some coffee snobs out there, too. Which can be highly irritating.

Can I just opt out of the selling?

That’d be great! Thanks.

I’m people-d out, probably for the next 5-10 years or so. I’ve done my time, now lemme relax in peace and quiet. 😂

Sleep is more in demand than we even know!

So can I sell sleep? Napping, perhaps? Who doesn’t love a good nights sleep and some naps? Maybe a float among the clouds, too?

Unless of course you want me to live out in the mountains and sell the beauty of nature.

Damn nature, you scary

Hint: Nature’s not for sale, but if you want me to pretend like it is so I can go live there, I’ll oblige.

That I could probably live with, quite comfortably, too.

Happy Saturday! I have new job endeavors to attend to today, so may or may not be on and off, as mundane responsibilities are calling my name. 😫 I hope you are having a great weekend so far, and that the coffee is fresh and the sleep is healing!

  1. Blimey, ‘nature ain’t up for sale?? Should’ve had a word with you before I dropped £3k on me ‘imaginary’ bit o’ Sherwood Forest. Thought I were baggin’ a bargain with all that fresh air!! Well, at least I didn’t fork out extra for the all-you-can-pick truffles an’ St John’s Wort package. Sigh.

      And I’m sure there are some people out there who do “sell nature” but I definitely feel like it’s not ours to sell.

  2. I should have suspected a problem when I noticed the ol’ sporran switcheroo!

    Nothing like a wee thimble of Jameson’s to make a four-barrel money changer seem like proper Highland fashion. Next time, I’ll stick to haggis and leave the investment deals for when the sporrans are less… jangly.

  4. I hope your day goes ok and whenever your next day or dats off are, enjoy the break. And the coffee.
    I have been up a couple of hours already. I feel like going back to bed lol. But going out and meeting up with a friend later.
    I had my coffee this morning. But onky my decaf kind that I have when at home when I fancy a coffee. 😊

        I have had a good day thanks and caught up with friend while that way.

        I am no stranger to decaf coffee as I am decaf tea. I’ve been drinking decaf a number of years at home now. Tea being more than coffee still. But I broke the mould by having my coffee this morning rather than tea.

        Ready for a mug of tea later. 😊

  7. The funny thing about coffee snobs is that they often don’t know the first thing about the coffee they are snobbish about. Did a barista gig for about five years and couldn’t believe the myths I heard from “connoisseurs” when they put on airs in front of everyone. 🤣

    Still. Best job I ever had, although too much is automated to suit me anymore. Being a barista is more about managing customer expectations now than it is about refining your pour.

    • That’s so true. I did a few AI images of “coffee snobs” and got some funny results 😂

      Your last line really got to me, cause even just yesterday I was interviewing for another job (yeah, a little chaos among my life at the moment) and the guy even said “you know we really need to be customer service based” and that’s NOT WHY I went into nursing. Not at all. 😒

      All professions seem to be going that way it seems. Sucks.

  8. Sell everything and anything, but use a bot to do it all. That will take dealing with the customer out of the equation for the most part. 😄
    Random observation – People always say they’re not a seller. I disagree. We’re all selling something, almost all the time. Our opinions, ourselves, etc.
    Life is really, stripped to it’s essence, one big transaction at the end of the day.

      I dunno. I guess if you’re trying to make someone believe something about you, sure. Me? Here I am, in all my glory, coffee and all.

      I disagree with you about life always being transactional, however, I can see how some would see it that way. 😊

  12. I remember drinking a lot of coffee in my teens and early twenties, no idea what happened to my pallet🤷🏻‍♂️ I try and drink it now and have flashbacks of never sleeping 🤣

  14. I will happily buy a trough of coffee! The bear image (OMG ~ LOL) !!!! Oh, I’m so happy and excited for your new endeavors, Laura ❤ … Many good things will come from this, but totally relate about transitioning in this time has been like learning to drive a stick shift uphill in the heat with wonky breaks and lights! It may not look appealing but at least with humor you sell it gorgeously !!!! 😉
