Like a Bad Habit…

Daily writing prompt
Describe one habit that brings you joy.

Haha! If y’all don’t know what it is…

Well, have you even been paying attention?

Ok, ok. I’ll give you three.

Since I am generous, after all.

1. Caffeine consumption.

A big ole triple dose of caffeine!

2. Napping.

Can’t get enough sleep…ever!

3. Hiking.

Although there hasn’t been any good hiking weather lately! 🥾

Are you getting tired of these, yet?

The answer to most things in life seems like it’s almost always caffeine and sleep!

There! I answered without a ton of snark! 😂

  1. Two of your favourite things contradict each other the third one however is shared with many including myself. We have a lot of forts in my state the nearest to me is the Karnala Fort in Raigad and I go there regularly. Its about 2.4km high so that hike is a short but exhausting mission. At the top you will find ruins of an old fort built by King Shivaji of Maharashtra about 500 years ago. The place is now a bird sanctuary so a lot of local birdwatchers flock there too. What’s your favourite place to hike?

    • Haha, yes they do, but I don’t always drink coffee and take a nap directly after 😂 (I used to be able to, however). Thank for sharing a place you like to hike, I’ll have to look it up! I always love looking up parks and trails.
And I’m sure my favorite hike is probably at some point in the future, but for right now it’s Washington state. A lot of my older posts have hiking photos from there. Very beautiful, lots of gorgeous mountains and lakes. Strenuous and challenging hikes to easier ones with lots of views and payoffs. Just depends on what your mood is. I can hike anywhere though lol 😆

  2. I always dig consistent flow and it’s a great format, Washington state had great hiking places. Made it near mount Baker over a year ago, incredible view. Deception pass and state park in Mt Vernon truly amazing or towards Lumi island.

    • Mount baker is an area I need and want to return to! Deception pass too. I also want to hike Mount Storm King and The Enchantments… thanks for sharing! It’s definitely amazing out there!

  3. But… I was hunting for a snark!

I agree with the first two and wish I had the time and cooperative weather for the third. Especially if I could find myself some of those unmarked animal trails in dense woods.

Have a great Saturday, Lauralaura 🙂

    • Everyone wanted me to snark this one lol damn, should’ve followed my instincts 😂
The animal trails sound interesting! What’s that about?

      • Hibernation is definitely in order then. 😴

My aunt used to have a cabin in Minnesota’s Northwoods when I was growing up. Everyone else loved the lake, I loved following the deer trails that wound through a dense forest on the other side of the gravel road that served the cabins.

I didn’t need a compass, the one in my head was perfect. Drove my father crazy because I always knew exactly where we were relative to the cabin and trails like those tend to not stay the same long enough to map them out on paper or in your head.

        I miss those treks.

      • That’s super cool. Sounds like fun, although I’m sure I’d love the lake and the trails! Haha
Hibernation wasn’t as much as I wanted but alas here we are!

      • The most excellent poem and you’ve lifted some very powerful energy right off of me through your amazing poetry. I’m meditating on each verse … seriously transformational and might actually the magic needed to penetrate a vicious cycle I’ve been thrust into for what feels like forever! Wasn’t it Einstein who said two minds were greater than one … LOL … probably his wife 😉 … I owe you a huge wish and if ever you need me … I will be there!!!!! ❤

      • I really do hope it helps ❤️ I know it’s not much but it’s what I can offer and let’s hope for that beautiful transformation to transition into something calming, peaceful, and the best that you absolutely deserve ❤️ and release that cycle if it’s no longer serving you. 🙏 always here for you too!! 😊

  5. Interesting list Laura. Great examples of the things that bring you joy in a way.

Napping, hiking and caffeine is great for a woman like you. As for me, I like blogging(Using the old pen and paper method), sharing jokes and eating bread a lot, I see these ad not bad habits but good ones😂 in a way.

Have a great day Laura my friend and keep up the great blogging✨💯🙌
