Nightmare Incantation 🕯️

This is a submission for Kevin’s No Theme Thursday.

Image by Kevin from The Beginning at Last

With candles flickering in dead of night

A witch conjures spells in the dark, dim light

Whispered incantations, fright she weaves

Making enemies who lurk succumb to dreams

When foes lay down, nightmares they’ll have

Antagonizing cowards with her malevolent laugh

Drifting to realms of unspeakable things

Monsters, beasts, and demons with wings

Teaching a sinister lesson, once and for all

Don’t mess with a witch who has the gall

To call upon spirits to torment your heart

Now ask for forgiveness, or be torn apart

Upon midnight hour, with moon’s eerie glow

Awakening to terrors that haunt them so

Smoke rises forth, as she begins once again

Saying final verses, powerful ones to condemn:

“Leave this place, wretch, be gone for good!

Banish you from here, for you ruin the mood.”
