This is a submission for Kevin’s No Theme Thursday.

Wandered traveler most weary

Frozen respite within the trees

Seclusion of a deepest need

Snow-capped mountains

Does bring release

For all who wander are not lost

Seeking solace among the frost

I had to counter-act my heatwave poem with something a bit frosty!

Thank you for reading!

  1. Good news Laura, indeed. I had some interesting dreams too. And one epiphany through a dream or shall we call it, half awake state.

Explains why I write the surreal Kaimana storyline. But the explanation will have to wait until the story is finished. I’m planning on writing a dream post in the coming days.

    • Nice! I plan to write a dream post as well soon. 😊 and it’s always amazing to receive that kind of inspiration from dreams, the storyline is fantastic so far and I can’t wait to see the coming installments!

  2. Perfect!

I came home early from work, weary with what I hope isn’t flu. Making my room into a frosty oasis, but it’s hard to simulate mountains. 🙂

    • Put on a YouTube video! (Not sure if you sleep with tv in the room) but that’s what I do 🤣 it helps…kinda.

Oh, no! I hope you feel better soon! 😞 I’m feeling “blah” and achy today but I really think it’s because of the heat. Take something and get some rest, hydrate, hydrate!

      • It may be the heat, or the dust, or the…

And yes I fall asleep with YouTube on all the time. What does the algorithm give you in the middle of the night? For me it is mostly Sean Carroll or Alan Watts. lol

      • Could be anything! 😆

And me too lol, some of them are just straight up rain videos, others are meditations and then I’ve got a lot of Michael Seeley on there…listened to a lot of his ones for letting go and fatigue etc
They don’t always work though, so sometimes rain it is!
Alan Watts and Sean Carroll are certainly interesting too haha

      • I feel like, even if I go to bed listening to rain, or the train travel videos, I’m always going to wake with one of those two anyway. For a while it was Terrence McKenna (sp?), so you can imagine the dreams!!

      • 😆 oh wow, DMT activation it is!! Haha
What do you think of all those frequencies videos? Do you think it works or do you think it’s a placebo in some regards?
        I’m undecided.
Obviously it’s not CURING stuff but there are some videos I’ve put on that make me feel better. I dunno?

      • I’m the same way. Sometimes they DO seem to get me into a much more peaceful state, but it’s always hard to know whether a nice classical piece might have done the same in a similar set of conditions? There have been a few times that I’ve indeed had more vivid dreams if they algorithm has given me a dream frequency type video.

      • Oh man, there’s this lucid dream channel I used one night and it made me feel crazy, can’t remember the name. If you find any good ones, let me know. 😊 I’ve been having a ton of dreams though, not necessarily lucid…guess I’m more relaxed than normal.

Pretty sure it was this. I couldn’t actually sleep, or sleep was so light, I was tossing and turning…think it gave me a headache too.

      • Hm, I don’t recognize this one but it’s hard to say. I’ll try it and let you know if it makes me feel crazier than usual. hahah

Such good news that you’re dreaming regularly though, lucid or not. Looking forward to reading about that. :))

      • Haha, I fell asleep for a bit lol
Yeah lemme know what you think of it if you do try
The titles are kinda click-baity with their “guaranteed to lucid dream now!” Stuff but hey. 😆
I thought the first time I used it maybe it was just me and I needed to try again
But I was like nope haha I need actual sleep lol 😂

      • Oh no! I began to take a test this morning, since I felt so bad, but then opened the test and the directions were only Spanish. If I didn’t feel bad I could be patient enough to decipher, and goodness knows I know the basics of taking the test, but I just left it. LOL

      • Haha I think I’m going to go tomorrow to the walk-in clinic and see, I’m actually learning towards flu which sucks considering I’m off, but the body aches…I dunno. It’s not horrible yet just feel crappy, hope it doesn’t get worse! Ahhh I feel you on the not being bothered lol. I’ve done a zillion of those tests so probably know it by heart, but I hope you feel better soon 😞 I’ve got body aches, feverish. Sleeps seems to be helping a lot and then trying to stay hydrated. Heat is not helping!

      • Probably a good idea to get it looked at. Salvage as much of the time off as you can. Then again, guaranteed rest! I’m achy and weak too, maybe it’s the nature of whatever’s going around. Take good care. ❤

  3. It’s easy just fly to Belgium 🇧🇪 stay for few days then we go yo Norway 🇳🇴. I will take you to North Norway Green and colored light beam. Hundreds of comets and clear skies. You just have to keep your head up and eyes open. The head should be warm. Marijuana and the sky connection. Yes, it is possible to make a better world. This was what my friend and I did most nights. In the middle of the sea, the snowy land, in the middle of the small pine forest. We made a fire and had tea, barbecued meat, vodka and marijuana with us. We were enjoying the sky and ourselves for two or three hours. Very beautiful, I would like to repeat this experience again at the right time. Imagine my 👑.
