This is a submission for Kevin’s No Theme Thursday.

Through nature’s respite, I seek the trees
Out in the mountains, now I can breathe
Away from the hustles of lifeβs daily grind
A break to unwind and refresh my mind
Seeking inspiration, to create things anew
To find my motivation, the calling is true
This untamed vast expanse, a work of art
The beauty of nature, filling my heart
Come away with me, find sweet release
All your worries and cares now cease
Leave behind the noise for a day
Preserve my peace, in the mountains away
Comfort and solace, in the stillness deep
My burdens are free, my soul to keep

Sometimes we just need to get away from it all.

I adore the mountains and have spent lots of time in the Sierra Nevada. Hiking, fishing, relaxing, and recharging. π

Thatβs awesome! I havenβt made it out there yet, but would love to. The mountains are definitely a great place to escape and recharge, for sure π

Sounds like a perfect day and Kevin’s image surreal … I know of no-place like what you have beautifully described, so … count me in for another mountain adventure; but I’m going to make a huge fit when we have to leave (lol)! π

Letβs go find it, together! π And yes, I think Iβll be sad when we have to leave too lol!! And there may not be an exact match, maybe we have to travel through different realms to find that level of peace π but Iβm sure if thereβs somewhere where at least thereβs natureβs beauty and limited people, that would be a good place to start! β€οΈ

I know, itβs kind of hard for you guys to take breaks. Itβs great to take care of others, but self-care is difficult in your line of work. But like we say in the Army, βyou need to take a knee and drink waterβ once in a while to survive.

Thanks for that π so appreciated, and yes it is very important to have self-care at the forefront. And I do need to hydrate more, even now. Thanks for the reminder and your wise words of wisdom! π

Here, in Kyrgyzstan, there are a lot of mountains; but I’ve only visited them once.
I’ve always been attracted to the story of Abraham slaughtering the ram, or goat; whatever it was, after the angel held back his hand from Isaac.
I really want to kill something in the mountains one day with nothing but a knife.
