Give me the boot! πŸ₯Ύ

What personal belongings do you hold most dear?

Can experiences be something?

It is personal to me. It belongs to me.

Or perhaps it belongs to something much greater.

But it’s not necessarily tangible.

Anyways.

I guess I’ll post my hiking boots. πŸ˜†

They’ve been some interesting places.

Nothing more insightful and fun and interesting to say about β€œpersonal belongings” here from my side, but my hiking boots do lead into a more interesting story I have for tomorrow’s prompt. 😊

Here’s a different pair, covered in mud! So much fun, 🀣 not.

And while it’s 90 here today, I guess I’ll reminisce about taking a cool air hike.

Sigh.

Hope everyone is having a wonderful day!

    • Yes, they are! Either they don’t fit right, or they hurt your toes, or something else! Yeah, I had to trash these after the mud!! Ugh 😩 and a breeze and a swim would be nice! ❀️ hope it’s nice and cool by you. 😊

  1. I love this! Your boots are so cool, btw. I especially love the muddy ones.

We were about 84Β° and breezy yesterday, and today, we’re down to 77Β° and breezy. I’m sorry it’s so hot where you live.

    • I need to!! I would even hike all the way up to try and get to a cooler climate! πŸ˜‚ I’m about a 12 hour drive from any decent mountains I think, though! Ahhh πŸ˜†

  2. I like the muddy one. Muddy boots are always evidence to prove that there’s an effort going on. I can understand that you’ve ventured into an environment that demands resilience and adaptability. A badge of honor, signifying the pursuit of your goals despite the inevitable defiance you probably have encountered along the way. This is more than footwear to you; it symbolizes your efforts, flexibility, and accomplishments. Congratulations, Laura. I sincerely share your emotional fortitude through this muddy boot.

    • Well, thank you very much for your very thoughtful comment! Yes, a bit of sweat and hardship for those muddy boots, which were thus destroyed after my long adventure. But it was still fun, and I wouldn’t change it. But thank you, you are far too kind and your wonderful words are much appreciated πŸ™ 😊

  3. Walking boots or shoes, would each have their own stories to tell.

I have had a couple of pairs of walking boots where I have walked miles in them, as well as a pair of trainers I one time had that I walked miles in. Wearing practically everywhere and so I was very surprised how long those ones lasted.

    • They absolutely do! 😊 would love to hear some stories of yours that you’ve taken while walking in your boots and trainers. πŸ™‚
A good pair can certainly last a long time, and go through many adventures.

      • My trainers I had about 4 years before wearing out on the inside. On the outside they looked quite good. Heels were worn. But I could have got a bit more out of them if it wasn’t for the inside wearing out.
I would walk several miles three times a week back to my mum’s from where I was living at the time. I didn’t bus as I didn’t have the money. So my trainers seen most weathers, other than winter.
Those trainers had also seen some trails.

My walking boots that worn out last year lasted 3 years I think. They were waterproof and so I was in them all year rpund with occasional odd break in summer. They took me to and from work, as well as trails and woods.

      • Nice!! Sounds like you are an avid walker and hiker, and that’s such a great and refreshing experience and a good way to get some needed exercise. Quite many miles! And awesome that you were able to walk, as it can be very hard to do for such long distances but the way it allows us to get out of our head sometimes and just appreciate what’s around us is what I really enjoy the most about going through woods and hiking trails. 😊
Thank you so much for sharing. I know I need to plan a hike now. (Already in my mind, just have to make it happen!)
