Legacy…of Things

What is the legacy you want to leave behind?

That I only brought healing and not harm to another.

Always there for me in the darkest hour

That I took other people’s feelings into consideration.

Some lightning captured on the beach last night

That I brought words, whether written or spoken – of hope, happiness, understanding, wisdom, respect, peace, love, joy, or any other emotion to someone in their time of need.

A few raindrops here and there

That I wasn’t completely oblivious to some of the things brought right before me.

Dark, but beautiful

From previous –

“I would like to be remembered most for how I cared for others.

For how I made people feel, whether good or bad.

If I helped another person in their darkest time.

For my strong opinions.

If my words, whether written or spoken, ever touched another’s soul.

If I ever brought joy or laughter to someone else.

That people either loved or hated me – no in-between.

Or if I ever helped someone heal.

That would be the most priceless feeling, rather than being named after an object or thing.

For in the end, we are dust.

Back to the Earth.

But our spirit lives on.”

– from my post, “Not the Things.

I guess some things don’t change, after all.

A storm is brewing

I’d also like to add:

Hopefully not the fact that my eyes roll so hard sometimes at the ridiculousness of some people. 🙄

Ok, I guess that’s not really a thing to be remembered by. 😆

Can you see the stars?

And even though it is a part of me, hopefully not my rage. 😊

I would never want to hurt another person, intentionally.

Yes, I think maybe I would love to see the wrath of Mother Nature

Let’s not ever forget:

For my fire.

For my passion.

For my ever-forgiving heart.

With the crashing of the waves

Because sometimes, it is hard.

I’m thankful I’m not someone who needs to receive attention in negative ways.

Because that really does decay your mind and heart.

Sometimes when you have nothing nice to say, it’s better to say nothing at all.

Hope you all are well.

Thank you for reading the musings of my mind.

    Amen 🙏♥️

Definitely , I would love to leave a legacy of one who had a powerful testimony. That people can say, “I remember who and how he was, and what God did in him and through him led me to believe that God is Real and that He is Powerful.
That if this God can change a wretch like Willie, then He can do the same for me, and I want that.
That is what I would love to leave behind.
And I would also love a Best seller book but that’s another deal . Hahaha .

    • Thank you so very much 😊 🙏
      Amen!
And yes, our testimony and written words are amazing things to leave behind, if we can. Definitely would love to do that myself one day 😆

      • And you can, and you will.

Just keep leaning and trusting that God will use you for bigger and brighter things and through them, as you receive your Blessings , remember to Thank God and remember to record them . For your testimony that saves you can also save those who are enduring the same or similar trials and struggles.

  2. I have ego bigger than yours! I’d like to be remembered by some buildings and squares named after me, and possibly some statues made in my remembrance! 😆

But I know it’s childish so I don’t pursue those ideas. I wanna do things for the sake of goodness, and I won’t live to see my legacy so it doesn’t matter.

I’d like to see some tangible results of my effort to make a difference in the world though.

  3. Nicely put Laura😊…It is clear your soul is steered toward heaven and you get it; leave the world a bit better than when you can in👍. Fantastic images again by he way, those storms kicking off in the distance look powerfully beautiful, nature doing her thing! I know you don’t like the heat you get there, but I have to say you seem to live in a wonderful place, from my perspective. Jay😊

    • Thank you so much, Jay! And I appreciate your words there, very kind and sometimes we can get off track, but hopefully they don’t sway us too far from the goal. 😊
And thank you for the compliment on the images! They aren’t as clear as I’d like, but I thought the lightning was awesome, so difficult to catch too. And yes, it was a powerful night with the storm brewing out in the distance a bit.
The heat is harsh at times, but it is an amazing place in some ways, yes. It’s changed a lot due to overcrowding in recent years unfortunately, as I do desire a more mountainous and cooler atmosphere, but it would definitely be a place I’d come back to visit many times I’m sure if I ever moved. Glad you saw it from that perspective, as most people think Florida is too hot, too crazy, or too…something 😆 and that can all be true, but it is still the place I was born. 🙏 thank you again, and sorry for the novel! Hope you have a great day! 😊

      • You are most welcome Laura😊, and no apology necessary for your words, I appreciate the exchange. The images are fantastic, just capturing these events give the images all the wonder they need! Lightning is amazing! Well done. The grass is always greener for us humans isn’t it…although mountainous and cool does sound fantastic too👌. Thank you….I hope you have a great day too. Jay😊

  4. Great post and bewitching photos, especially the ones with lightning! ❤ Thank you for sharing 🙂

You described the wonderful legacy you want to leave, and I believe I see it similarly to you: positive changes, kindness, and support are the things that matter the most and leave the most important trace behind.

Your fire is warming and engaging—don't doubt that. Your texts are wonderful, deep, and inspiring. You heal with words as well as you do with energy (I'm sure of that <3).

Well, you know that I'm also quite sarcastic and vindictive towards people sometimes; I guess it is natural, LOL 😀 😀 😀

    • We can all have our sarcasm and it’s fine, sometimes it is needed 😆
Especially certain people do need to be put in their place if they don’t respect boundaries. You got a few of those, at times.

And thank you so much, yes, healing and positivity, if I can. 🙏
Appreciate the love for the photos ❤️ they aren’t the most clear, but I thought the lightning was pretty cool, really difficult to capture tho.

Oh, and that is too kind of you! The fire, 😊 yes it’s within us, and we know how to wield it properly, (thankfully, otherwise something might get burnt!) 😆🔥

      Appreciate your words always!
      ❤️

  5. Hey! I loved it. We do put so much effort to make other person feel better but when we expect the same then that is not something to ask for! I just don’t understand why?
I really loved those pics and the post

    • Thank you so very much! 😊 and yes that is often true, too. I agree with you there 🙏 and thank you so much, I’m glad you liked the pics! They aren’t the clearest but I thought the lightning was pretty cool. 😊 have a great day!

    • Agreed! 😂
There are some people who make it all about them, and you’ll have a lot of those anywhere…but as an overall, it’s a great place to meet many like-minded brains 😊

  6. Laura ❤ … Trying to forget you would be like forgetting the sea itself or the luminescence of the moon! Your pictures are award winning! You own the night! I saw stars and maybe other bright lights of mysteriousness that swelled with the black waves! Gorgeous again !!!!! ~ 🙂 !!!! and beyond ready for that storm!

    • You are forever too kind to me lovely! ❤️ forgetting you could never happen either because your bright light is forever etched into my heart! I went back just not too long ago and re-read the beautiful story you created for us! 😊 the nicest thing ever! I need the storm and the swim (but maybe not at the same time?! Haha!) 😆 glad you liked the photos! They were interesting ones to take, a little different with all that energy.
