I could show you the horrors of my mind,
the stories of things better left behind,
and in the darkness of the night,
everything isn’t love and light.
For in the bleakest hour of all,
is when the ego finally begins to fall,
and in that realm of anger and spite,
is when the spirit comes out to fight.
For in the trenches of deepest hell,
I know of things I could never tell,
all things good and bad must end,
and in the cycle they begin to bend.
Turning into something new and transformed,
a longing for the past forlorn,
and when my spirit rises above,
a moment of my own self-love.
For in the dark I walk hell’s halls,
my journey in life to save them all,
calling out to me in my dreams,
for in the veils I am between.
Some may call me mentally ill,
but within myself I know my will.
In this realm I am alone,
a wandering soul who has no home,
the world is corrupted way too fast,
it’s a purpose I must serve at last.

Some people are bound to the horrors of their mind for months, years, and even decades. Healing is never easy. Compartmentalization is often a method in which many people use to cope with life. Some people experience unspeakable horrors, where they must use any number of ways to survive which can sometimes be detrimental to the mind, body, and soul. However, if you are brave enough to walk through the deep, dark recesses of your mind, your terror, your trials and tribulations – you will eventually be able to see the rewards of your inner work and healing. It is never easy, it is not supposed to be. It is never a part of our deepest nature to give up. Don’t stay trapped forever. Love yourself. ♥️ And be free.

Very true.👏

So often people think healing = light, even aesthetically. I understand why, but here you went into the darkness unflinching, aware of fear/wounding but not cowed by it. Beautiful.

Thank you as always 🙏 and yes, I think it’s important to show the darkness of our mind, and if you do go there, it’s possible to obtain healing, if we allow.

Very true, deep, and captivating ❤
We all have our inner halls of darkness, and there is nothing bad in that, for without darkness, there is no light, there is no one on this Earth who is absolutely innocent, anyway.
Darkness, sin, pain are the natural part of a human experience in this world. People tend to fight them, but accepting and integrating this into our psyche (yep, again :D) gives us the possibility to control it.
Moreover, it helps in finding inner peace and balance. Loving your shadow is healthy and creative 🙂

Thank you ❤️
I agree that we should often look into the darkness for healing, and it is also great, great inspiration for writing and art.
No one is innocent, that’s for sure 😂
Our psyche, haha…yep! It is an important part of us to acknowledge the light and the dark – we need both aspects of our lives to thrive.

Such an important comfort how darker retreats are so effective for creative inspiration & raw emotion bleeding through our verses, while still keeping our eyes on the light to strive for. ❤
