Yes

Have you ever been camping?

Starry sky over West Palm Beach tonight

Yes.

Of course.

Butโ€ฆwere you expecting anything different?

Itโ€™s where I can really be one with the outdoors.

With a bit of cloudsโ€ฆbut still beautiful

Listen to the silence.

Or hear the crackling of a bonfire.

Agonize about how my abdominal muscles and core will be completely sore from chopping firewood for said bonfire (a task my cousin used to love to give me, thank you very much) but secretly love it because itโ€™s a fantastic workout.

Only a few more hours to goโ€ฆthen FREEDOM!

Enjoying cooking in the outdoors (away from the bearsโ€ฆhopefully!)

And partake in one of my most loved and favorite pastimes – stargazing. โœจ ๐Ÿ”ญ

Goodnight!

Just to get lost, without the constraints of time.

No expectations. No pressure. No worries at all.

Completely free.

  1. Great images Laura…well done๐Ÿ‘. If you look at them long enough, especially the second one, that cloud could almost be a fibrous cotton, or cotton wool, and your mind can almost not discern which it is…brilliant! Jay๐Ÿ˜Š

    • Thank you so much, Jay! ๐Ÿ™ Glad you like them. Thereโ€™s definitely something about being outside in the darkness of night gazing at the stars with the clouds. Happy these came out the way that they did! ๐Ÿ˜Š hope youโ€™re having a great start to the week!

      • You are welcome Laura๐Ÿ˜Š, and yes they are wonderful images. I know what you mean, space is a fascinating arena and we do not look up often enough, especially living in a city with the artificial light drowning everything. Once you get into nature space really reveals itself doesn’t it. I am thank you Laura๐Ÿ˜Š. I hope you had a wonderful weekend and enjoying your day so far!

      • It really is! I try to make as much time as I can for my lunar and astronomical obsessions lol ๐Ÿ˜‚ but yes youโ€™re right, often it gets drowned out by the busy night life. Itโ€™s exhilarating to be out in the complete darkness, and oh so beautiful. Nature definitely reveals all! And thank you so much again! ๐Ÿ˜Š ๐Ÿ™

  2. You really managed to capture the whole feeling in this post. Or at least the part one is doing all the work of it to get to! These photos are just so deep and endless, and give the feeling that stargazing does, of setting everything in its rightful priority.

    • Thank you so much โค๏ธ that is such a lovely comment, Iโ€™m glad it could give that feeling. I really did enjoy looking up last night, silent in those few moments of taking a breather at work are always nice ๐Ÿ˜Š

  3. The post itself, the photos are enchanting, but the connection with the nature on such wholesome, primeval level is the most priceless thing. Beautifully written ๐Ÿ™‚
PS: I also love stargazing, and can completely lost myself in it ๐Ÿ™‚
