This is a submission for Kevin’s No Theme Thursday.

Predicting the future, deciding itβs meant to be,
Itβs in your hands, to shape your own destiny.
Warnings, symbols, and signs abound,
Paths you may take in life, often unfound.
The message, still always the same,
Cards will predict, everything in vain.
Ancient wisdom, you may find,
The mysteries of fate, often intertwined.

I spent so many significant parts of my life trying to predict the timeline of events and where my path was headed, who was in it, and what the final outcome would be. The best advice any oracle or cards can give you is to be mindful of the present and take each day as it comes, because the path or direction in your life can change at any moment. “Energy of” is only a prediction – and even with predictions they can sometimes change. The future has ways of unraveling sometimes in the most unexpected of ways. If everything was able to be pre-determined, our lives would be most boring. Spirits and cards often speak in riddles, and it’s our interpretation of them which matters most. Divine beings who give you insight into your life may only tell you what is needed at the time, but the rest is for you to figure out on your journey of life (or lives, if you so choose). Find your purpose in life and be present. π₯

Well said! Our experience today can throw the entire path off for tomorrow, or it can make it the most amazing thing weβve ever experienced. Or it could just be a mundane day π

Sat with your poem like a puzzle, unsure if it was meant that way–but it feels that way, and I like that a lot!
I consult I-Ching reading sites online occasionally, and have more than once been brought into much clearer focus by them. I’m aware that there is one who reads the reading and as the song goes, “hears what he wants to hear and disregards the rest” at times. Still, there’s something about the intention and asking then making the attention to listen.

Oh you are too good! You always pick up the intricacies of my posts too well! π
Itβs short, but I wanted to make it intentionally a little confusing – because I do believe in predictions and the insight we can get from them, but often if we run our lives around them they unfold much differently than we thought. So, itβs a great tool, and if I can receive guidance from a higher power, I most certainly will accept it, itβs saved my ass a few times.
Listening – often we know the answer, but sometimes we just need the extra little confirmation.

It was so fun. I read a few times and then it sort of unpacked. Not easy to do!
You said that very well, that it’s the confirmation. By the time you ask for guidance I feel it’s come up from the depths already, which doesn’t mean it’s grokking yet!

Haha thank you! I feel the same about your writing. Always a story weaved into something insightful which I love.
And yes, you can have an idea or an inkling but just need a bit more of that confirmation and then you know for sure.
Something you often feel compelled to say or do or itβs in your head for whatever reason is often something deeper than just everyday waking life, I feel. Itβs speaking to you for a reason.

I enjoyed this a lot, and I agree with what you say. Now if I can only find my purpose and be present. π xo

Tarot cards make predictions based on your present situation and your most probable and frequent behavior. They are better suited for short-term prognoses or evaluating the present situation, including feelings, needs, chances, and aspirations. To be completely honest, they are even more effective in magic than in prediction.
Astrology predictions (not the ones which take into consideration your Sun sign only) are way more accurate, while they use Solar Returns or Progressions, which show the positions of planets (events) in terms of signs, houses (areas of life), and their aspects (help or obstacles). Still, astrology only provides a general outline of what might be, or more precisely variants of what may happen. A lot depends on our own decisions, so we choose the variant of events.

Oh yes, thatβs very true π thanks for sharing your experience.
I agree with you on both points as well.
Itβs often the strange web of predictions weaved that can be accurate, but oftentimes we focus too much on the actual prediction instead of living our life. However, I donβt discount anything that comes through as higher guidance, as a lot Iβve received has been tremendously helpful.

It is true, and I know people who went crazy because of that – I mean really crazy, and it was frightening thing to observe
The most important thing is to remember that prediction is always general, and there is always a web of possibilities among which we choose our future path using our conscious will. Being obsessed with prediction, we deprive ourselves of growth, which happens only when we consciously step away from the familiar road and try something new π
