Hello all! I’m excited to say this poem is an entry for Kevin’s No Theme Thursday challenge.
I’ve been wanting to participate for some time, and Kevin finally convinced me to join in. If you haven’t yet, please check out his blog – The Beginning at Last. He has some great content!

Forest for the Trees
Peace and serenity
the feeling of tranquility
Sunrise is vast
a gentle warmth at last
The sway of soft breeze
and the rustle of trees
The smell of refreshing Earth
showcasing the deep green rebirth
It’s a new morning of Spring
birds are starting to sing
Dew lining the grass
and the creek is like glass
With soft rippling of waves
the enchanting forest is a maze
One I could get lost in
a bit of dirt upon my skin
Breathing in fresh air
deep in nature, there’s no despair
And now it’s getting late
time to end my little escape
But my favorite place will always be
in the forest among the trees

Very beautiful poem, Laura. And I am very, very glad that you chose to participate. It’s truly wonderful to have you involved. Thank you, and I hope we see much more in the future! Not just NTT, but on your page in general! 😊

Haha, yayy!! 😆
And thank you! You are the creator of something awesome that brings people together. 😊 It actually was a really good experience for me to start writing again with a visual element tied to it. Poems are a weak spot for me.
I’m hoping to post more as well! Great inspiration and minds alike and all that 😂

Thank you very much. I am very happy that so many seem to enjoy it. It’s really rewarding and fun for me.
It’s humbling to see people come up with so many great concepts from just my humble images.
But the real value is the interactions it’s enabled. I am very, very proud of that most of all. 😊

You should be very proud! The benefits of social interaction on mental health are numerous. And sometimes while we can’t always physically get out there, connection in other ways is often very healing. It is appreciated by many, no doubt 😊

What a beautiful, relaxing poem. I can picture being in the woods, walking alongside a brook, listening to the birds and forgetting all about the real world!

Thank you for your most gracious comment 🙏 it is so appreciated. I did want to convey the feeling of actually being there, as that’s what I imagined as I wrote it. 😊 glad you were able to read and enjoy!

if I had a hamlet and a pitcher of lemonade by a pond those words might relax me and a bear would be knocked sleeping smoothly with those words. graceful
