So, at the risk of sounding like a broken record, I’m not much one for the writing prompt today. Incase anyone is wondering:
Where would you go on a shopping spree?
I wouldn’t.
I dislike shopping immensely. I find it draining to be around crowded areas to shop to begin with.
I’m not moved as much by material items.
If I have to go, I will. But not for fun.
Everyone has their thing right?
Shopping ain’t for me.
There’s my very short answer.

However, instead of simply ending it here, fellow blogger Stephanie over at Singing Gecko wrote an interesting post regarding the origins of her unique blog name, and I found it to be quite intriguing. I commented how much I liked the story behind the name she chose, and she mentioned she was curious about mine as well. I gave her a short response so as to not write a novel in her comments, but I figured I would elaborate more as an actual post for anyone else who’s interested.
So, where to begin?

Who or what the hell is “Black Moon Lilith”?
I often make a lot of references to “being in the dark” and “darkness” because we all have some darkness in us. Also in regards to a spiritual awakening, I often to use the phrase “from the dark to the light.”
Black Moon Lilith is sometimes referred to as the “dark moon.”

Black Moon Lilith is not an actual celestial object in the sky, like Mars or Venus. It is a mathematical point between the Earth and the Moon; the point that measures the distance where the Earth is the farthest from the Moon.
So what does Black Moon Lilith represent?
This particular placement, especially as it relates to one’s birth chart, deals with dark feminine energy, unconscious fears, hidden desires, sensuality, power, things that we may have repressed.
Untamed. Wild. Taboo.
All things we should allow ourselves to embody.
While there is much more about Lilith (the actual Lilith, known in Judaic mythology), and the dark moon in itself as it relates to the cosmos, this post is already far too long! 😂
As for the second part of my blog’s name, “Musings of a Wandering Soul” – I do think that is self-explanatory.
I’ve often been told I have a bit of a “wandering spirit,” and that I’m a tad elusive as well as “nomadic” by friends and loved ones. It is true, if I could leave the confines of society and wander around in the wilderness and live off the land, I would.
I’m on a bit of a soul journey, after all.

Me too my friend.👏

Well, first, the post was not too long at all. I was just getting into it when it ended lol
Second, this would be a far more interesting daily prompt than most of the others we get. Like anyone gives a damn about anyone’s middle name. 😄
It’s actually very interesting to see where folks came up with the screen names, or names of their pages. 😎👍

Yeah!! Do yours next 😆 I always loved your blog name! The first time I saw it, I was like “dang, that’s clever!” 😂
And yeah, the middle name – only so much that can be said about that, lol

Well, mine’s not that interesting, really. It was inspired by a song and my circumstances at the time. But I thank you all the same. 😊
Perhaps I can write something up later. Mine will beat yours for brevity. 🤣

Nice!!! Ahaha, is that your way of saying I’m long-winded? 😂

No, that is my way of saying mine is far less interesting 🤣

I figured if nothing else, they distract from the boredom of the story 😄

Hahaha it definitely adds to it, I wouldn’t say it’s boring though! Not at all! 😊

I actually had a story posted and deleted it. It was one of my three garbage posts that I was bitching about lol

Ughhhhh 😞 I understand though. Sometimes I read back on stuff I wrote and say “well that was crap” but I’m trying not to delete stuff even if I feel it is cringey haha

There’s a lot of stuff I have left up that I think sucks, but I didn’t like this one. It made me look really bitchy or something, which it wasn’t supposed to. It was supposed to be funny 😄

Ugh, I feel ya on that. I always have to temper my “less bitchyness” 😂 but your posts definitely are usually funny!

I’m so glad you took the time to write this post, and I agree with Kevin! Not long at all. I really love the feeling of the name of your blog, like being made aware that I’ve stepped into the presence of deep creative waters.

Thank you so much! And you are so inspirational! It allowed me to dig a little bit deeper on why I started this blog and writing to begin with! 😊

Dislike crowds and find them draining… That sounds very familiar. I’d almost be willing to bet you’re an empath also, but I can’t tell for sure from your pic. You’ve got good shielding. That by itself says alot about your spiritual growth. 🙂

Thanks for your comment! I’ve been told by one of my mentors (who is a medium) that I am. It’s pretty hard, being a nurse you have to have a really strong shield I’d say, but I do think sometimes I’ve chosen the wrong profession 😂 I’ve come to realize, it’s absolutely a drain haha

I can’t even imagine working full time in a hospital as an empath. Even being anywhere near an ambulance is painful for me with all they soak up.
Most impressive. 🙂

Thank you! Luckily, I no longer work at an ER 😂 but I absolutely understand what you’re saying. There are certain populations where I can’t even imagine working with as it would be so hard, like elderly or children. I work in psychiatric (behavioral health, they call it now) and addiction medicine, so it’s not as difficult as maybe say, ICU or hospice, thankfully. 😊

We all have our dark side, just as the moon does! And we have to embrace it, to live healthy and fulfilling lives. 🙂
