This is a submission for Kevinās No Theme Thursday.

The void –
Darkly traversing the nighttime skies
Entering states of nothingnessĀ
To escape from the liesĀ
No pain, no pleasureĀ
Nothing in-between
To silence the howlsĀ
and screams unseenĀ
A break, a respite –
For a moment in timeĀ
To escape the strifeĀ
of this beautiful lifeĀ
Nightmares and dreams
Nothing as it seemsĀ
Unconscious, consciousnessĀ
Always awakeĀ
But never asleepĀ
As I venture ever furtherĀ
Into the ether so deep
Ā©ļø Laura Bennett
Sometimes venturing into the deep nothingness is all we need to heal, to reset, and to feel free. No pain, no fear, nothing.
What does the void state mean for you?
P.S. – The blood moon lunar eclipse full moon is coming to heighten the energy on March 14th, this Friday. Enjoy? Already feeling the effects. š
***post is scheduled – hopefully I’m entering my own void state right about now… š“

The his poem resembles some states that you can reach through meditation. Wonderful. ā®ļøš

The void certainly is the most uncertain place
And while it may feel like night to a lot of people…
It’s like that moment before dawn..
Darkest and stillest…
Where anything can happen..
But within the void you hold peace still
The Void is the point where you continue to be alive while holding your breath

The way you described it – so poetic and beautiful. š I loved that, especially, āThe Void is the point where you continue to be alive while holding your breath,ā stillness, darkness, and solitude often brings us so much more, itās odd because of its nothingness. Thank you for your wonderful comment! š

A spooky but very intriguing poem. I think the void is nothingness. Silence, darkness, absence of emotion, an absence of events and growth. It is death.

Very true Thomas. I find the void in ways, very peaceful because there is no pain, a sense of nothing and stillness and darkness can bring about so much. I suppose it is a sort of death, in a way. Thanks as always for your very thoughtful comment! š

Thank you Sara! ā¤ļø Much appreciated!! š I did a quick search to see if I could find a more succinct way of describing it and this is pretty accurate:
The void state, in various spiritual and meditative practices, is often described as a state of emptiness, nothingness, or absence, a space beyond the material and mental constructs of everyday life.
Entering the void state can be used to enhance creativity and access the subconscious mind. The void state can also be seen as a way to achieve spiritual growth, self-reflection, and potentially even shift to new realities or experience.
Reaching this state can involve allowing thoughts to pass through without judgment, focusing on the present moment, and detaching from the ego and external reality.
So basically, just a lot of spiritual and meditative stuff lolol. Thanks for asking and sorry for the novel. š š¤

A hauntingly beautiful dive into nothingnessāboth escape and clarity.
The void, to me, is like pressing the world’s mute buttonāno noise, no weight, just a moment of nothingness to breathe. It’s not emptiness; it’s a pause, a reset, a space where even thoughts take a nap.

I would love to experience it. The best thing I have ever experienced is hypnosisā¦it was wonderful!

No worries at all! Thank you for your interest š it is always deeply appreciated. Hypnosis is a great experience in order to get in that state and incredibly similar. Anesthetics are often described āas close to death as possibleā with the twilight sleep, so may sound freaky to some, but even mimics that. Iām sure youāve achieved a flow in which you create your beautiful art pieces š Iām positive if you want to go deeper, you could for sure š
Rest is good. I always seem to need a lot of it when off. Working nights š©š„“ lolā¦hopefully off of those sooner than later. Hope you are also enjoying yourself ā¤ļø š¤

Liking that your poem makes me consider what if the void could also be that moment when one realizes and accepts that death might not necessarily be as disagreeable or unfavorable as it might seem since one who’s alive was nothing, nonexistent, like dead, and/or maybe dead for a very very long time before being born.
LikeLiked by 1 person
Interesting! Never thought of that way. Thereās an often mentioned āego deathā which comes along with that, which allows us to be the highest version of ourselves. Hard to obtain with all the worldly things around us sometimes. I enjoy your view and itās certainly something to ponder. Thank you for that š š

I was feeling the effects of the blood moon lunar eclipse approaching all week, it’s so crazy how our body senses these things. And I so relate to your poem, I think those voids are very much needed in life. Sometimes you need the nothingness to balance out all the chaos.
LikeLiked by 1 person
Itās so true! It either puts me to sleep and deeply dreaming or just a heightened awareness and always writing haha. š Definitely makes the energy more emotional. Itās so true, that we sense things of the earth. The void is definitely needed to balance out chaos – to just shut everything and everyone out and go within. One of my favorite things to do lol š

This is pretty strong poem and very good thought provoking too. You ask, ”What does the void state mean for you?” It means to me, I kind of zero myself (not resetting me) I empty my head from all of useless and unpleasant things. I always do it before I fall in sleep, I can do hypnosis and in my case I use auto-hypnosis. It is a beautiful moment and I can see in my innermost self how these useless things fly away from me. Kind of cleaning the hard-drive, you knowšVery interesting postš
