Thank You…

How do you give thanks?

…by saying the words, simple!

Words we don’t often say truly enough or with real meaning behind them.

What does it mean to be truly thankful?

I didn’t ask for wine 🍷 but AI clearly thinks I need it 😆

So much gratitude for the lives we lead each day, the food we consume, the roof we have over our heads, the way we show appreciation for others and are thankful for that moment of peace we hopefully have when we lay our heads down at night (or if you’re like me, in the morning!).

Grateful for the ability to see so much of our vast world 🏔️ and for landscapes like this

For those that have come into our lives for a season, a reason, for a lifetime, or with a purpose. Expected and unexpected.

For what keeps us sane…

Yep, I’ll take a big ole cup of it! ☕️ doesn’t have to be that fancy, but I’ll do iced or hot anytime!

For those jobs we have, which sometimes may not always feel like the greatest, but it’s where we have to spend some of our time to keep on living.

Time spent with family and loved ones

And hopefully, if there’s people out there who are fortunate enough to not have to bear the burden of working, they are thankful for whoever takes care of them.

For the special animal beings in our lives…

How can I not be grateful for that adorable face? 🐈

So many behind the scenes things we never really think about in our day to day that we should be grateful for.

I’ve had some recent car issues, so I’m thankful when I don’t have those.

A vibrant Sky 🌌

I’m so grateful for: When I can just be. And breathe. Writing, even with all its frustrations. Nursing, even though it is a difficult job, it’s kept the lights on for the last decade or so. Loved ones, and the joy they bring.

Messages of our soul.

The serenity of an early morning beach sunrise 🌅

Nature, for the moment of beauty and awe that comes into our hearts when we’re surrounded by such. The moon, and all her chaotic ways. Music for how it speaks and flows through us.

Chaos and beauty

So much more. I could keep going…

Fresh air to breathe. Clean water to drink.

A healthy body, which we so often take for granted, until we are reminded of how important it is.

A sense of calm washing over us as we realize how blessed we truly are.

For the beautiful images. Thank you ❤️

I wish that for you, too. Aside from the hustle and bustle of the holidays, remember to stop and enjoy what it’s really about:

Togetherness.

Gratitude.

Love.

Peace.

And perhaps a few caffeinated delusions and chaos thrown in, but only the good kind. 😉

Enjoy your day, folks.

I’ve been busy making some logos if you haven’t heard yet! Probably will be trying out a few dozen or so 😁 your input is always highly appreciated

And even when you have a moment of lowness – some of which I have experienced the last few weeks – remember, this too shall pass. There is so much to be grateful for.

Happy Thanksgiving! 🍁 🦃

Don’t forget to take a turkey nap! 😴

  1. Wonderful post, Laura, and beautiful pictures, especially the one with the big ole cup of coffee. I just finished one, and I think I’m going to drink another after seeing that image. I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend and managed to squeeze in some rest too. I really like your logo as it is, but I’m sure you’re going to make it even more spectacular.

      • Ooooooooooooooh, Laura! My chickie! I’m so so glad to see you! 🙂 You have been well-missed. Everything is fine here, and I’m hoping it is for you, too. Can’t wait till you come back, but take whatever time you need. 🌸

  2. Great post, Laura! I already see a couple of my friends left comments as well. Your images are incredible, just one other tech thing I cannot grasp. If you knew how long it took me to get the concept of pingbacks, you’d die laughing. Now I’m a pro but AI graphics still escape me and I’m in awe of your talents. Great work. Today I’m thankful for this post.

    • Nancy, I’m so sorry! For some reason this comment was in spam ugh 😩 🙄🙄 I have to get used to checking this again, just getting back into the swing of things after being off for about a month. And thank you! You are far too kind and I am so appreciative! I’m looking forward to seeing more of your posts! 🙏

      • No worries, Laura. I’m awful at checking my comments for spam! 😫 There are so many posts I want to read, yours included, and I find I’m always running out of time. It’s a disaster! 🤯 I don’t know how some people can post so often and still have time to read. I’ll get there! 🤞🏼

      • Oh god, I hear ya! I say the same. 😆 How do some post 3-6 times a day, I can barely manage one or 2, I don’t know how people do it all, either sometimes. And I’m a fast reader I think 🤣

      • LOL! I post a fair amount and I get super engrossed in it. Most nights I’ll look at the clock and see that it’s 2AM and I haven’t even read anything by anyone else! I’ve gotten myself so committed to writing for a number of prompt challenges, I feel like I can’t stop because I’ll let people down. Of course that’s ridiculous! They probably wouldn’t even notice I was missing but in my warped brain I can’t let it go! 😳 😂

      • I feel ya! I know, I missed out on some challenges and I feel sooo bad! 😆 I’m sure you’d be noticed and missed! And that’s so true too. Have had many a discussion about that, how can you read so many people and post on top of everything else?! I used to do about 2-3 a day before my work schedule got insane, but it really does take up some time to put it out there! I was like that with the prompts too for a while, posting every day. I think we all go through that. 😆 If you’ve got the creativity going, might as well let it flow 😊
