How are you feeling right now?
Always around the end of the month.

Itβs so damn hard to get out of bed and do anything.
Crampy, bloaty, lower back pain, headachy, tired, bitchy.

Ok, fine.
More bitchy than usual. π

Chocolate and a heating pad, please.
A Fukitol would be nice too. Maybe a couple.

Sigh.
This too, shall pass.
Sorry yβall for the TMI maybe but itβs the lovely part of being a β¨womanβ¨ ughhh. π«
Hope youβre having a better Thirsty Thursday than I am! π₯π·

I feel youβ¦ dreading it every month especially with PCOS πππ

Ugh, what a nightmare! Iβm so sorry you have to go through that π what do you do to decrease the pain?

Thank you ππ» Yoga and painkillers. Day one is a nightmare, but then with some breathing exercises it gets better but never fully ok.

So true, yoga and just simple breathing sometimes does really help a lot of the time. Yea, the first day is always the hardest it seems π

I love this. I don’t think we as women need to apologize for having hormone fueled “moods”. It’s freaking reality. I wrote before about the awesome high I experience when I’m ovulating and I don’t care what anyone says about it. I think this needs to be more of a common subject, males need to be educated. I’ve yet to write about PMS but never say never. It’s real. And it affects everything and everyone around us, including WP peeps.
Good on ya!

Thank you so much, CJ. I think since weβre in healthcare itβs so easy to talk about this stuff, like itβs second nature. And youβre so right, itβs definitely real and a part of everyday life. I know my mood is highly affected and Iβm in a good deal of pain so I donβt just carry on like normal, itβs not like me to put on a face, lol. Youβre so right! It really does affect so much! Appreciate your kind words and support π means a lot π would love to hear your experiences too

I love this! Just got past the worst part of my current period (the first and second days both suck for me), and it felt so nice to read something so relatable. I get achy, cramps, and also my mood tanks, I become super self-critical, and I feel an intense feeling of wanting to isolate from people. (Really glad I got it earlier this week and not during the weekend when I have plans to go camping with a couple friends.) I’m most definitely not like the peppy models in tampon ads, lol.

Yes! The first and second days are the absolutely worst for me! Ugh π« glad you could relate, but sorry that itβs through something painful! lol mood and cramps definitely all over the place, and I feel ya on just wanting to hide under the bed! Tampon ads just make me lol π so unbelievably unrealistic! Enjoy your camping, that sounds like so much fun! π

I feel your pain. Its one of the things that has made turning 50 this year a little better – all that sort of stuff coming to an end. All I have now is a fat belly, night sweats, aches and pains all over my body, forgetfulness, night sweats…what was I saying…losing everything….words mixed up…fat belly…

I often wonder/worry if it will be worse or better for me. My mother had struggles with this for a while, but Iβve always had very painful periods. Not sure I like the idea of hot flashes in this Florida heat! But thank you for sharing π it means a lot to me, CRS syndrome is already prevalent among my brain so Iβm looking forward to it! π€£

You’re welcome, Laura. I understand. My periods were terrible – some months debilitating. Ugh is right! I am under a year since my last period. It is awesome! π TMI from me, too! π I don’t mind sharing any of my experience from this life stage. π

Not at all TMI! We need to be able to talk about it π haha! Iβm in healthcare so it comes out just naturally, but I do get how it can be weird for others possibly. Glad you are feeling good about everything, I worry about night sweats and stuff especially with this heat (perhaps before that time comes Iβll be living in a different state!) lol, and so sorry to hear your period was so debilitating, mine definitely can be like that some months, hate that feeling of not wanting to do anything or get out of bed. Itβs awful! π£ Happy you are comfortable sharing π much appreciated, too.

Thank you for appreciating. I’ve learned so much over the last couple of years. On my own initiative. I do feel called to share and will do that over time. If I can help other women in any way I am delighted! π

God, how I remember those times. I am so glad to have all that behind me. One advantage of going through the change early.
Heating pads and having the munchies as if I smoked a joint, but without all the feel good.π³
Hope you feel better soon.
