Gratitude πŸ™

Daily writing prompt
What positive emotion do you feel most often?

…Which is a feeling that encompasses so many things.

To have gratitude, to cultivate it, is to have so many beautiful emotions that you are grateful for within it. Gratitude for people in your life, where your next meal is coming from, the roof over your head, a peaceful nights rest and so much more.

To be among peace is to be most grateful

Happiness, love, peace, calm, appreciation – all surround gratitude. How we arrive to be grateful for something is often through sometimes painful means.

We realize we are grateful for those around us, because we’ve had some not-so-great people around us that make us realize when others truly are there for us and not for their own selfish ambitions (or worse).

From gratitude comes love, and an array of positive emotions and energy

We cultivate gratitude for a job because we’ve been without money before, and the inability to pay bills and keep things on track can and will eventually harm us.

We are thankful for a peaceful nights sleep, because we’ve gone through so many nights without.

And so on it goes.

You will meet many people who lack gratitude.

Sometimes, we often need reminders.

More gratitude = more positive energy and emotions flowing forth

If we are emotionally, mentally, physically, spiritually, and financially stable, then we have a ton of things to be grateful for.

Many times these things can be off-balance, and it makes it harder to appreciate what is before us. But as the story often goes, we can most likely find someone else who has it much worse than us.

If you feel peace while listening to the silence…

If we can take a breath, and feel peace while listening to silence, there is no greater feeling of gratitude than such.

Quieting the rampage of ever-destructive thoughts is a task that takes work, but once mastered, is something to be grateful for.

When you are expressing gratitude and really feeling it, you are vibrating at a higher level fequency that allows more abundance in, instead of lack.

Less lack, more abundance

Less lack, more abundance.

With that said, I hope you find gratitude in something today.

It is a positive feeling, after all.

Happy Friday! I’m way behind and would like fill you in when I can. The last week of my 2 week notice commences today and then onto some new adventures! Update soon?

  1. Gratitude and a clean conscience probably often have some connection. I can take an absolute beating but knowing I have done the right thing by all concerned makes the Gratitude like a bandage… faith is actually built from repeatedly doing what works

    • Thanks for sharing your thoughts, much appreciated 😊 I think faith is incredibly important to have as well, if you know you’ve done the best you can, putting that out there and then embracing it gives you power to know you’ve taken a step in the right direction regardless of what else is going on around you πŸ™

  2. Cheers. Specifically… I have put myself in front of others before and if I look at them they would have been dead if what hit had hit them. That’s the gratitude. Grateful that life made me able… if you have ever a mother being her child is dead… the sounds haunts your mind and ears forever and you will do anything humanly possible and even a bit more to ensure it never happens when you are in the area.
Maybe compassion is there too. I am simply grateful to be a human being who serves Life

  3. ‘Quieting the rampage of ever-destructive thoughts is a task that takes work, but once mastered, is something to be grateful for’. You couldn’t have said this any better Laura, it took me many many moons to achieve this frame of thought and I have been blessed with so many positive feelings to replace those old ones. Very touching post and I am wishing you the best in the near future adventure you are about to em [bark] on. Have a great weekend my friend.
