We think we know our destination

Life’s journey ebbs and flows

Where we often end up in time

No one always fully knows

People and places come along

That surprise us every day

They throw us off, unexpected

But are needed in many ways

Connections we may not understand

We fight them often, out of fear

Self-sabotage leads to nowhere

Of what we really should hold dear

Past pain scarring lonely hearts

Future experiences not to be missed

Indecision slowly tearing us apart

Of chances that may bring forth bliss

We may not always know where we’re headed, or how we’ll get there, but that’s the beauty of life and events unexpected, which we have the power to either move forward and experience or hold back out of fear, never taking a step forward.

Don’t let great opportunities and experiences pass you by. 😊

  1. Beautiful and very wise, the last line is excellent, great post. ps. I also noticed that I have commented and still not, good to know this too. I hope I have not commented and still commented. I commented your dragon post, well, if this comes through I at least said that it was interesting that this dragon had blue eyes, I think this dragon has a good heart and good intentions.. have a great night Blue Eyed Rock Girl😊

    But, on a more serious note, life is indeed full of unexpected pathways. Some we’re forced to take, and some we can choose our way. Either can leave us much further away then we ever truly anticipated.

      Yes, that’s very true. Some things often come up unexpectedly and they can be wonderful or they can be awful. Let’s hope they are good to great from here on out 🤪
