As a woman who is unfortunately no longer connected to either one of her parents or grandparents in this lifetime*, when I was told awhile back by someone whom I greatly admire to start asking my ancestors for guidance in my daily life, I was a bit hesitant.
Hadn’t that been what I was doing all along, anyways? I’ve always honored the dead.
No, she said. Make an effort during your meditations or in that power position (just before sleep, or upon waking up) to ask for the guidance that you need.
Apparently, spirits can’t read your mind, lol. Or maybe they can, but this wasn’t the case in my instance.
I had hit a roadblock with my meditations and dreams. I felt stuck. I’m sure changing jobs and shifts in the last few months wasn’t exactly helping me tap in to the etheric realms, either. Transitions, transitions.
I had been wanting this all along. I have an obsession with all things ancient. Wisdom, it is often taken so much for granted. The power you feel once you have divine guidance enter your life, and you know it is so, is one that is unmistakable. Spiritual ascension – it is my goal.
Invite them in your life through concentrated meditation or prayer, and show gratitude.
Ask, and you shall receive.
Don’t make demands, be respectful.
Your ancestors want the best for you, and don’t have intentions to lead you astray.
Ever since instilling this practice, I have been blown away by the signs, symbols, and synchronicities that have taken place in my waking life.
A life of magical abundance, it is.
Now, if only I had done some damn protection work before Mercury Retrograde, so my dang tire didn’t explode and my washer didn’t decide to go kaput. Ah well, a lesson learned? Or perhaps it was bound to happen, and we can’t really change the course that much, anyways.
In case anyone is interested in instilling this practice into their life – I like to use the channel Dream Seeds and their Higher Self Connection or Ancestral Knowledge audios. Of course, you can use whatever you like and what speaks to you.
The connection you forge with your ancestors – is your own unique experience.
One that I am completely grateful for.
* (don’t worry, it doesn’t bother me, I just realized how morbid it sounds upon re-reading)

I could write a book reinforcing this, me I believe our path is set, a story set in stone upon our first breath of air. We may think we control it but we dont, very few things a human does these days involve more than one human decision or choice, my choice to respond to you here, but it was because you wrote what you did.
You’re ansestors are inside of you always there and if you’re TUNED right, I believe they have it sorted for you before you have to endure it, anyway you know you know…

You are so right. I have often pondered (many times on this blog as well) the balance between fate and free-will, what lies upon our control and the outside forces, and what contracts or pre-determinations our soul has made before we ever took our first breath. I do believe sometimes, that we can choose to bury our heads in the sand and ignore the things standing right before us, but also if it’s “meant to be” it will find us and …sometimes shove itself right in our faces lol 😂 but if there is a lesson to be learned, there is a way for us to learn it, most definitely. I do feel so much more tuned in now, and I think that is the key, tuning into the higher power. Thank you as always for an insightful view! 😊

I’ve heard this …. (btw, gorgeous photo, just like the soul!!!) that as energy becomes stronger, electronics and lots of weird things can happen. Best to get your rest, stay as lighthearted as humanly possible (now I know what that means lol) … and enjoy your beautiful life as an awesome girl living in a material world (hahaha, I had too ;-)) !!

Interesting…hmmm. Not sure if I’ve ever heard of this concept, however, I think going inward often has a lot of insightful things to show us about ourselves, regardless of where we may receive the guidance from 😊

I meant also to say that I can see how, when not being in relationship with parents (as is the case for me too), allowing ancestors in would be/could be, a powerful thing. Most people probably do this to some extent… in a hard time hoping, even if not believing, that a person who has passed can see what they’re going through. I know everytime a family member passes I sort of check in and say “Hey, do you understand now?” “Are we good?” lol

Awww yeah it feels weird at first. 😊 Because it’s like “well I don’t have an everyday connection to these people. “ Things weren’t good either in our waking life or they’re just not around anymore. I think it just goes with knowing when, how, what to ask. I’m often someone who feels like once I put my intentions out (thought-wise) it manifests, not sure if you experience the same.

To be honest, I understand you very much. I’m not in the closest possible relationship with my family, and I cut all connections with my father and his side of the family a year ago. I was sure that all those ancestors’ works are not for me, not my path, but then my deceased grandfather (with whom I did, in fact, have a good relationship) started reaching out in dreams, and overall I often feel his guiding presence and see him near.
Everything is individual, and not every path is for everyone. The most important thing is not to force yourself into practices. If something is meant for you and should happen, it will 🙂
And it seems to me from your description that it is your way. Good luck and have a beautiful journey with that 🙂

Yes, those are very wise words. Some people say that our true family is a spiritual one, and people with whom we share the same blood often also share karmic debts (and it is true in my case, and maybe once I’ll share more about it). Cutting ties is better than torturing each other.
Sure, I’m deeply grateful for these dreams and for the fact that he is still supporting me, even from the other side. 🙂

And thank you 😊 and I can see how it’s moreso the people you vibe with spiritually that will end up being the one you feel closest too. Karmic debts are very similar yes. At some point I’d like to share more about mine but it’s hard too, everything unfolds in time, I suppose. And I agree, cutting ties is needed at times, while sad, can be absolutely necessary.
Dreams are often prevalent for me as well, in fact I think it’s where I have most of my conversations and get most of my ideas.
