Like a diamond… 💎

What is one word that describes you?

Multifaceted.

…but not one you would ever give to someone with no meaning or intention behind it

I actually had someone describe me in this manner.

“For me, it feels like you are multifaceted.”

At the time, she was speaking of my spiritual abilities.

I still thought her choice of words was a bit strange then.

Not actually a word I use everyday, and while knowing its meaning, I decided to look it up to understand more of what she was trying to say.

I would say she was right.

Happy Tuesday, everyone!

  1. I’ve had the same thing said about me. One of my support workers even describes me like an onion. I have layers and it can take me a while for me to pull them back.

I think that’s just part of being a well-rounded human being. Even when it comes to writing characters in stories, the ones that are typically more interesting are the ones that have contrast within themselves. For example, maybe a character that dresses in such a way that looks like they’re The Girl Next Door but then you find out in the next scene that they’re into metal music or something.

People don’t fit into boxes and archetypes and identity and personality is often dynamic, not static.
    Great post. 😊

    • Thank you! Your comments are so amazing and well thought out and appreciated, you have no idea! 😊
I agree that a static personality would be most boring, but you do sometimes meet people like that. I think we all have many different complexities, and that makes people relatable and real. Not cookie-cutter.
I agree in character building even in life, we need to have different facets. There’s the us we show to the outside, and then there’s our inner.
I love the fact that you used an onion as an example. It takes me awhile to peel back my layers as well.
