Questions?

What is one question you hate to be asked? Explain.

I feel that this post may make me come off as a bit bitchy, for lack of a better world.

However, I wear that title quite nicely sometimes.

I may be “bitchy” sometimes, but at least I’m not basic and bland

Here we go.

I wrote something on this actually a few years ago.

There are questions, a list of questions, I should say, that I dislike being hit with upon someone meeting me.

As someone who works with the general public, the amount of information people expect me to reveal about my personal life is astounding.

And it’s not that I’m not an open person. I am. But I also can be private about some things (confusing, I know right?).

The problem I have is people thinking they know me after asking just a simple few questions.

Which later often becomes:

“But you said…” or

“But I thought…”

You will most likely never know the true me.

At least, not from the outside.

I only allow a select few into my innermost thoughts, feelings, and intentions.

Being an empathic person, there’s a certain shield I have to present to the world. This is to protect my own energy and peace.

There’s the outer me, and then there’s the inner me.

So, should I stop rambling and just answer the question, then?

The easiest way to get to know me is to normally just say something funny, and then strike up a conversation naturally.

Natural flow is what I’m best at. Nothing forced.

I’m a conversationalist with the right person. I’m an air sign, after all. 😉

So, upon meeting someone (this could be virtually as well, not just in person):

“What’s your name? Age? Where are you from?! Fav color? What’s your hobby? What do you do for fun?!?! Why do you take so long to answer!!! Can you post a selfie?! Why are you so serious?! Why do you have resting bitch face?!”

So…while they are not ALL bad questions, it’s the mix of questions that overwhelm me.

I suppose if I had to pick one especially, it’s “what are your hobbies” or “what do you do for fun”…because this is bland and boring.

If you read any of my blog at all, or even if you meet me in person, all those questions will just be answered naturally within a normal conversation.

Especially if someone TEXTS me said questions, it’s enough to make me want to turn my notifications off.

(They are usually off anyways, just FYI).

I promise, I am not as mean as I appear to be at times.

It’s just that people have a lot of preconceived ideas about me, based on questions they ask me…before they ever really truly know me.

I think that’s all, for now.

Have a Happy Humpday Wednesday everyone!
