What do you do when you can’t sleep?

How does it affect your life when you can’t sleep? Does your mind race with thoughts? What worries keep you awake at night? Or are you just someone who ponders a lot of random things and the connections with others in your life?

Recommendations welcome. None of that “have a routine” crap. I’ve taken sedatives, hypnotics, anxiolytics, you name it.
Unfortunately my tolerance is completely too high.
